Here it is my new Dacia Logan. At the end, it was Collection 2, New collection or 2007, i.e., new version of Logan.

It's more than I expect to. Althougth I had seen it before in the car seller store, and I tested it, it's no the same on the road, on the real road.

It's big, inside and outside, seats and boot. It has more details than I knew. It's not as plastic as it's said, no more than modern cars. Until I saw it parked by other cars, I didn't know its real size. Boot is as big because its very high. Driver's seat is very high and you can extend your legs, althought roof is far yet. You can open your arms too. Back seats are big enough for 2 meter people, high and width.

The motor sound is not as noisy as it's said, but seller told me that previous version was noiser, and clutch is softer and more precise.

I have only 110 km on the road but driving feeling is very good. 1.4 is not a much powered motor, but it's enough for me. I have not overpassed 3000 rpm, and have pushed accelerator very soft, until doing first 3000 km. If instructions are right, after then I will have all motor power.

Road holes are near inexistent, Logan is prepared for it, more than other cars. But its adapted to motorways/autobahns too, suspension is not as soft as it's said too.

I've been driving a Seat/Fiat Panda 45 (twenty year old) and a Kia Picanto 1.0, so it's an improvement at least.

I've noted that gear relationship is shorter than I expect to, overall first gear. I make motor get revolutioned too early until I change to second gear. It was overall first day, yesterday and today it runs more softly.

Power-assisted steering is harder than I expect to, with tendence to return, but it's easy to drive.

I haven't made real use of conditioned air, because weather is soft here in Asturies (Spain), but I tested it and get cold very easy. I don't know if car could get warm as easy.

As it is new version, it has some details other versions hasn't, like remote opening boot, some chromades in the front, new upholstery lighter and more tolerant to dirty, full upholstered boot. Exterior rear mirrors are the same, the new ones are only for Prestige version (mine is Lauréate). Flashing lights are crystal covered, and boot has a spoiler. So they are only cosmetic changes, except remote opening for boot, that is very useful. Besides, less noisy and clutch more precise.

These are first impressions. Soon, I'm going to trip. Not very far, but then I will test the car, because until now I've been using it in the town.

I wait for your driving experiences.

C'mon man!
What was your max. speed on the motorway?
Are you sure that you are not reproducing this from the Dacia Logan Beginners Guide?

I was curious because he told us that the car "is adapted to motorways" and I don't know what is the speed of logan for: 5th gear and 3000 rpm.

Hey, don't tell him what to do, he's only driven 110kms, so let him do it for himself. If he want's to do it!
Hey, titoasturies, good luck with your Logan, do not push it over the boundaries in the manual. Anyway, good luck!
Send us a picture of your Logan!

When I talked about that's prepared to motorways I mean that driving and suspension aren't as soft as it's said. Some testers have talked about "driving isn't modern". I thought, reading reports about Logan, that it will be a "pendular" car, with a very soft and long suspension, but not. It's firmly, though suspension is long. But yes, it's prepared to bumpy roads with holes, and motorways too.

About speed, I've tested only in the streets and motorways that round my town, not in a real trip. I know it's not going to be speedy, but I don't want it to be. Then I could have bought a Seat Leon or Ibiza, very popular here for running and tunning...

I've not overpassed 120 km/h, because here, in Asturies, there are no good motorways and lot of mobil radars (only because there are no fixed radars). Besides, I haven't bought the car to run. Although 5th and 3000 rpm are enough for 120 km/h.

[One thing about car and police. Here, policemen associate some car types and brands to young or speedy drivers. Logan will not be associated, sure. Last friday police made to stop some guys driving Seat Leon (they were not doing anything) and let me continue.]

And car arrived four days ago, it's not the moment to run... I know that if I drive below boundaries first km car will run better in the future.

And gas consums are near 11 l /100 km in town, 4.5 l / 100 km in secondary roads. I will see in motorways, and after first 3000 km.

So I'm not going to run yet. Yes, it may sound like Begginer's Guide, but... I've driven lot of different cars, renting cars overall, because of my work, from Audi A4 4x4 to R.Traffic, so I've run enough. Last was a Seat Ibiza with 140CV, very speedy, with lot of power and lack of weight. But I usually drive a Kia Picanto 1.0 and an old Seat Panda 45.

-------------------------------------

Have anyone the same feelings with gears that a I had?

Wow 11 ltrs sounds a bit much !!
I cant get it to read above 10,5 ltrs on a big hill climb on the motorway
this is more than likely due to it being new
Just keep the revs down run in your car properly and you will be enjoying it well into the future
and the feel on the motorway is just as i feel it as well it does not swim
BUT in high winds after passing a Truck hold onto the wheel as it gets hit from the wind as you come out of overtaking.
cu
Stu
As for the Gears yes the first gear is short .Just change up as soon as it moves

Yes, 10.6 l last read, but it's because there are lot of stop lights here. Lot of time wasted waiting for green light.

Thank you Martin for advices.

I'm going to take some pictures soon. I'll show them.

My passat is in good condition, and it can go 190km/h (kph). I've done it on highway "Slavonski Brod-Zagreb". It's good, but it drinks allot, about 13 l of eurosuper 95, but it's old, and it's good!
