Google a lansat, marți, aplicația Latitude, cu ajutorul căreia utilizatorii pot localiza o persoană folosind numărul de telefon mobil al acesteia, a anunțat compania americană pe blogul său oficial, informează AFP.

da, m-a localizat destul de exact, sa zic 50 m abatere. Nu imi dau seama cum face asta, probabil prin triangulatie, dar nu sunt sigur...
Sefu sau gagica ii vezi daca au instalat si pornit programul de la google pe tel. Nu poti vedea orice numar vrei.

L.E. fereastra aia e doar pt ca sa iti trimita linkul pe mobil. Nu are legatura cu detectarea vreunui numar din retea.

Pai pe trinagulatie se si bazeaza telefonia celulara. Fiecare celula are 3 emitatoare. Vezi busola connex, pe asta se bazeaza, doar ca cifrele alea sunt transpuse in zone.
Valabila si pt cmandrei, daca activezi busola asta, uneori vei constata ca ai semnal din alta zona.

S-ar putea ca acel programel instalat pe telefon sa transmita aceste indicative pe situl mama. Aici sa fie interpretate pe o eventuala harta cu celulele repectivului provider GSM. Altfel nu vad cum...

In copilaria telefoniei mobile se putea activa pe telefoanele nokia un meniu suplimentar numit "net monitor". In care erau date celulele pe care le receptioneaza telefonul, intensitatea semnalului si o gramada de alte date pe care nu le-am inteles niciodata (in afara de aia cu temperatura).
Deci in mod sigur telefoanele stiu pe ce celule sunt si puterea semnalului fiecarei celule. Daca informatia e transmisa la Google care are o baza de date cu celulele, iaca pozitia.

De la operatorul GSM

L.E. Driverul de GSM furnizeaza toate datele necesare la care se referea si klaus, aplicatia de la Google nu trebuie decat sa le acceseze si sa-si faca apoi treaba cu ele.
