NEW RENAULT MODELS EQUIPPED WITH 1.5 dCi ENGINE WITH PARTICULATE FILTER


Already offered on Clio, Modus, Mégane, Scénic, and the five- and seven-seater Grand Scénic, the 105hp 1.5 dCi diesel engine with particulate filter will also be available on Clio Sport Tourer and New Kangoo by the end of the year. Equipped with the latest diesel powertrain technology, this engine will keep any vehicle's CO2 emissions to a minimum. The engine's particulate filter can regenerate without affecting the smooth running of the car and without the need for additives. An extra injector mounted directly on the exhaust line enables continual regeneration using a process particularly suited to city driving. This innovative solution makes use of a host of patented technology.
Ever attentive to its customers’ expectations, Renault has developed a range of clean, fuel-efficient, low-emission engines to help protect the environment.


Renault continues to roll out environmentally-friendly engines. Following in the wake of Clio, Modus, Mégane, Scénic, and the five- and seven-seater Grand Scénic, the latest models to be fitted with a 105hp 1.5 dCi engine with particulate filter will be Clio Sport Tourer and New Kangoo, set to go on sale at the end of the year.
The engine develops 76kW (105hp) at 4,000rpm, with a maximum torque of 240Nm at 2,000rpm.

The 105hp 1.5 dCi engine makes use of the latest innovations in technology, with a multi-blade variable geometry turbocharger, multiple piezo-electric injectors, and a particulate filter with an exhaust-line-mounted injector.
The 1.5 dCi is the fruit of Renault's policy of downsizing its engines, an approach that reconciles environmental concerns (curbing emissions of CO2 and other pollutants) with economic considerations (reducing fuel consumption and making technology affordable). Downsizing is also an integral part of the Renault eco² programme. With the exception of the 7-seater Grand Scénic, all the models fitted with the 105hp 1.5 dCi engine with particulate filter are Renault eco² vehicles.

Through its low CO2 emissions, the 1.5 dCi engine contributes directly to Renault Commitment 2009's pledge to sell one million vehicles emitting less than 140g/km of CO2 by 2009, a third of which emit less than 120g/km. The 1.5 dCi is, of course, Euro-IV compliant. It is combined with a TL4 six-speed manual gearbox, with gear ratios that make the most of the 240Nm of available torque.

Unrivalled user comfort

The 1.5 dCi engine is renowned for giving its users a quiet and comfortable ride. What's more, the particulate filter regenerates using no additives and without hindering driving, regardless of the engine speed and the driving conditions. This innovative solution is particularly effective in urban areas, where cars move at low speed and frequently have to stop and start, but it is equally well suited to other conditions. Unlike conventional systems, there is no minimum driving speed or journey length required to activate the regeneration process, so there is no danger of clogging. As soon as the engine warms up, any particles trapped in the filter are completely destroyed.
Guaranteed to require no servicing, the 1.5 dCi engine is particularly popular among environmentally-conscious city-based customers, who appreciate the fact that the system totally eliminates particles without increasing fuel consumption.

Patented new technology

Mounting an injector on the exhaust line is a particularly innovative solution.

Independent of the regular engine injection cycle, this injector is concerned solely with the destruction of particles. The simplicity and effectiveness of the system are testament to the know-how of Renault's engineers, who registered over fifty patents during its development. After leaving the engine, the exhaust gases pass through a first catalytic converter, which processes carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and hydrocarbons (HC). During regeneration of the particulate filter, a tiny quantity of fuel is injected into the exhaust line, which causes the temperature of the gases to rise as they pass into a second catalytic converter. Located immediately behind this second catalytic converter, the particulate filter absorbs the additional heat and begins destroying the particles it has amassed.
This revolutionary system is like nothing else on the market: the regeneration process is just as effective as any other, but is no longer dependent on the speed of the vehicle or the engine. Independent of the main injection system, the system requires no additives and is activated as soon as a sufficient quantity of soot is detected in the filter.
Renault now offers the 1.5 dCi engine with particulate filter on most of the vehicles in its line-up, providing a particularly attractive and effective solution for its demanding, eco-conscious customers.

Din cate stiu eu 1.5 dci-urile comercializate la noi nu au filtru de particule.
Cat despre logan, n-o sa mai vedem motoare noi pe acesta multa vreme.

Ok, dar motoare euro 4 erau si fara filtru de particule, insemna ca acestea pot sa se incadreze chiar la viitoarele norme euro 5.
Si inca ceva - pentru romanii saraci poluarea mai mica nu prea conteaza, conteaza putere mai mare, consum mai mic, etc. Si intr-un fel au dreptate, cei care au vazut un camion Roman incarcat pe un deal stiu despre ce vorbesc...

Inseamna ca motorul acesta e un pas inainte pentru lupta antipoluare, probabil va avea succes pe viitor, mai ales cand intra in vigoare euro 5.

Interesant sistemul acela cu injectia suplimentara de combustibil in evacuare. Ce il face asa interesant este faptul ca procesul de autocuratare se produce indiferent de viteza cu care circula autovehiculul. Cei de la skoda au exact problema asta la DPF-urile lor, trebuie sa mergi cu ea constant cu minim 60 km/h pana se curata filtrul de particule, cel putin la Octavia II RS Tdi asa este. Bravo Renault, chiar daca nu sunt fan blush.gif

Nu în viitorul apropiat, în ziua de astăzi se pune din ce în ce mai mult accent pe motoare mici, cu puteri rezonabile, care consumă puțin, sunt ecologice și au taxe mici.
K9K mai are multă viață în el.

auzisem de ceva vreme de niste 1.2 dCi cu vreo 70 caluti , dar era vb de un concept, nu scria cand vor apararea in oferta reno

Nup, erau 70 kw 100 caluti "Ellypse dispose d ’un innovant moteur turbo Diesel 16 soupapes de 1 200 cm3 développant 100 ch (72 kW)et un couple de 200 Nm"
