I'm curiously, why did you buy a Dacia Logan?

I needed a car, a simple one with an acceptable prize, and I didn't choose smaller ones because when I want to travel with my friends those could be too small to pick our luggage with us.

Also it's my first car and I don't want to buy a very expensive one. Imagine that I have an accident or similar... it would be really sad to loose a car about 25000 € worth.

And I don't trust second hand cars.

I understood your point of view. So, if we are talking about new cars whose price is maximum 10.000 euros, Dacia Logan offers the best proportion quality/price, isn't it?

Hi all,
I bought a Dacia Logan 1.4 base because I had to repair my old Renault 19 1.9 diesel and it costed too much... about 500e and I had already paid 300e few weeks before in repairing it.
Also I wanted a 4 mts car which had to be able to pull a trailor and a caravanne that weights about 700 kg. And it had to be a bit high because I am tired of scratching the bottom car.
Also I wanted a Renault car or a car warrantied by Renault.
And the most important thing, I am break so I had to buy the cheapest car I could find.
And why not to say it, I like the car! The more I drive it, the more I like it.

I have now driven 1200 km in my new Logan and am returning a fuel consumption of 6,4 ltrs that is good and i am happy with the car
I changed the wipers for a set of double rubbers and they only cost me 8 euros in a local supermarket
I also like the car better every day and the roadholding is Very Good
I am not a new driver I have been driving since 1969 and have had lots of cars
so trust me guys .The Logan is a car that is well worth its money

I I have car from 03.11.2004 ! and no problem, maximum satisfaction - low price , big space, and low consumption !! 5,6 - 6,5 l !! in CZ costs perhaps 6500 Euro - ambience

Hi. In spain the Laureate version is the highest versión with all equipment, except the optionals air conditioning, aluminium rims, radio cd and metalised paint.
The 1.4 laureate with MP and air conditioning cost 10000€.

I´m from Venezuela and the Logan is selled here under Renault´s brand.

I got a LOGAN E2, but basically is the Full equipement Logan, ABS, 1.6 8v, airbags, luxury wheel, air conditioning, everything is electrical..windows, lock buttoms, etc.....this car has everithing!!! In Venezuela this car cost about $13000 USD.

I think for this price in Venezuela you don´t find a car with so many things inside. It´s strong, tall, good engine and transmission, the trunk is huge.....

I have many things to talk, but i think is ok by now!!!!

in CZECH REPUBLIK sells logan 1,4 hire sale , version - logan : 6067 Euro ! version - ambience : 6782 Euro !! version - laeurate - 7821 Euro !!! and increase return old car -892 euro !!!!

Plus 780 (air conditioning)
Plus 255 (metallic paint)

I didn't buy the radiocd nor the alluminium wheels

So more or less 10.000

That's the best relation between quality and price (and size) around here

In Romania it's the same. Logan offers the best relation between price & quality. For the Romanians is the best car too. You know, for the most of Romanian people, this is a big step forward, from the old Dacia, made by Dacia, to the new Dacia, made by Renault. Actually, the situation changed starting with SupeRNova model, continued with Solenza model and now with Logan. Of course, the Logan have its "sins", but, at this price, I think that the car it's OK.

As fas as I know, they are forced to put ABS. I'm not sure if the same happens with airbags, but anyway Renault decided to put double airbag on every Dacia Logan sold in the UE, even the basic one without assisted steering...

You're right, there's a lot of difference.

Anyway, I'll tell you. I ignore the average salary. The legal minimum salary is 580 euros (for a full 35 hours week). And mine is (I think) a little above the average. I'm a doctor and I'm earning 800 as a basis, plus extra hours paid 6 euros per hour.

(PS: For me, it's compulsory to make, more or less, 100 extra hours a month... just to keep the hospital running, you know!)

I know the average salary in Romania is not exacly ¨western standard¨. BTW, i´m Romanian.

when you think that I sell Ice cream in Germany and get paid 1400 in the bank. then it is wrong that a doctor gets paid so less!!

Yes, I meant that. There are so many "west-european" earning very little... it isn't extrange at all, the success of Logan.

You forgot to say that your car is ...... empty. It has just one airbag.
No AC, no ABS, no airbag for passenger, no (board) computer, no assistance steering, no ......., no ........ no ............ etc.

So, is your car (still) cheap? The real price of the Dacia Logan Ambiance (in Romania) is 3500, maximum 4000 euros (I mean the production costs). The rest of the money, to 6280 euros, is the Renault advantage.
