i still cannot believe that logan has an EBD! why haven't i read about that anywhere on the Internet or leaflets. could it be that equipment here in serbia is different than in romania? i can't wait for my Logan to come another 4 or 5 days and HE will be here finally!!

Yeap , Logan with ABS have also EBD.

I still cannot believe... i read the article of Renault, but i'm still surprised why i can't find that on official site of my dealer in my country. There are all the details, but EBD is mentioned nowhere. I think that EBD is something that DACIA should inform byers about, it is one more reason to buy LOGAN!

They don't say EBD, but they have translated description: "Elektronski razdelnik kočione sile"

Don't know anything about point 1.
Regarding the second one here is some data (not necesarily 100% accurate);
- officially the production has started in the early month of 2004 (March-April);
- the car was launched in Paris in June 2004;
- Logan was first sold in September 2004 in Romania;
- in 2004 appeared some photos which showed Logan is winter tests (so the first Logan was produced way earlier for testing - don't know the month though)

Here I am agaon, after some time. I've finally gotten my LGN! It is great, i cannot believe it you get really really many things for relatively small ammount of money )

It feals great during driving! it lays in turns better than I expected it, and overall it is great!
I have only a few complaints

1. it is quite difficult to park it from back
2. my power steering shaks when i'm turning wheel, i don't know why...
3. computer is controlling everything, it has i think some kind of limitation of RPM! in 1st gear it won't go over 1500 rpm, even if i keep gas pedal on the floor. only after keeping the pedal pressed for about 5 seconds it goes over, but... i don't like it...

nevertheless, everything else is fantastic...

Glad that you are happy with the new car, make good use of it!

I think that i have some answers for your problems:
1.you'll get use to park the car, if you consider that some parking sensors can help you, try to install them on the car.For me it was a little bit diffecult in the first few weeks after i got the car, but now i'm not encontering any problems.
2. the shaking of the wheel is normal, of course in certain limits. Anyway, it can be a problem if the shaking is consistent or violent. We had already discused about this problem on the romanian topics of this forum.
3. my logan dosen't have the computer so i don't know what to say...

I would like to make OBD-2 interface for my LGN, so i would like to know if it support that interface and which programme should i use?

About the 1500 rpm problem: see if your gas pedal is not very low positioned. There is nothing to do with a computer limitation. The only rpm limitation the logan computer has is over 6200 rpm, when it cuts the gas flow and the engine stops; a feature seen in many other cars. Perhaps the gas pedal is not properly raised from the floor. I had this kind of problem at my car and I raised the gas pedal and everything was perfect afterwards. How can you do this? It is very easy, but I think I will upload some photos of the process, so it can be more feasable to you. It is hard to explain in english...These days, I hope!

Some answers:

Romanian added the 10th colour (yellow) as a request for having these cars as taxi cars. (cabs). Yellow is the official cab colour in Romania.

You were talking about tricks and "cracks" on the computer:

Put the key in the Accessories position (not on the Engine position, marked with an M on the key lid). Press and hold the only button that you can find on the dashboard's plastic window (the one that you use to reset the counters and set the clock). While holding it, move the key to the Engine position (as you keep it when the engine is running) - Don't go any further towards the starter position. Keep holding the button for the following 2-3 seconds. A number will be displayed on your dashboard, most probably 6002. You can now release the button and press it sequentally. You will see different numbers on it while the speed-o-meter and the rpm meter will go fishing around with the numbers. Welcome to the TEST mode of your dashboard computer. One of the positions will tell you an approximate on how much gas you have left in your tank.
