Just got a Logan MCV.
Didn't pay extra for the stereo because for the price it didn't seem that good.
The manual has no info on the wiring diagram for instalation of a stereo.
I took a look in the area where the stereo goes and in the speaker housings and I've identified all of the wires except for one.
It's a blue wire that's grouped with the other power wires(black, red, yellow)
Anyone know what this wire is for ? Anyone have a wiring diagram ?
Also, would be good to know what size speakers go in the holes.

Thanks for any help.
Gav

Speakers: 13 cm, all 4 of them, the blue wire, do not know... Isn't it pluged to the ISO connector?

Yes, all the wires are in the connector, but I thought what ever stereo i buy probably wouldn't have the same connector. Seeing as you're calling it iso I guess it's standard. Haven't installed a stereo into car in quite a few years. Have a lot of experience making portable sound systems with car amplifiers though.
I might just have a pair of 13cm speakers stored away that I never used before.
Thanks.

Could the blue wire be for an electric antenna ?

What ever stereo you will buy, it would not have the same connector for sure. But, it is most likely to have the complementary connector... smile.gif At least in Europe, I belive almost every stereo uses this type, or has an adapter included.
Enjoy your new car.

Ok great, I look for a new stereo in Austria tomorrow. Pretty sure it will be cheaper than in Croatia. Import and sales tax here is very high.
Stu, I think you might be right about electric antenna. Didn't think people still used them.

Bought a stereo and it seems the blue wire is something a little more modern. It's the remote mute wire used in conjunction with some hands free phone systems. ohmy.gif
My speakers in the basement turned out to be 17cm, but I think I can fit them by removing the plastic speaker surround that's mounted in the door already.
Will let you guys know how it goes.

Gav, the blue wire from the ISO conector i'm think is for the dimmer. The blue wire for mute I belive you read about it in the manual of your new stereo.

yeah, stereo wiring does not equal wiring in car. The blue wire is in fact as stu said, aerial remote.
Fitted the stereo, no problems. 17cm speakers went in just fine after I removed the plastic speaker surround from the door. All holes aligned well. Only problem was that the speaker covers no longer had anything to clip on to. I just used a few drops of glue to put them back on.

Hi!
I just bought a Sandero and there was not a stereo included.
The wiring in the hole where the stereo fits is in place. But! I don`t find the speaker wires that should be in the front or backdoors. I suppose they are somewhere in the sides in the front compartment since there are prewired connections from the place of the stereo...

Anyone knows the location???

Plz help out !!

Kindly /Urban

I'm afraid you'll have to install the wires for the speakers by yourself. Though I may be wrong.

The same issue was discussed on the romanian language section, and it seems that the wiring for the speakers was found in the end, but I didn't quite understood the location.
Sorry for the previous statement.
