Michelin rules!!! (and this is not an advertisement, but Michelin people, if you are reading this, I wouldn't mind a small token of gratitude... wink.gif)

Reliable on the snow, on wet road it feels like it is glued, and the ride is the most comfortable (vibrations and noise) of all the tires I have driven so far!

Oh... And happy New Year to you all! smile.gif

P.S.
I admit they are not cheap, but as we in Serbia have a saying... "How much money, so much music!"

Yes, in the last couple of days, and in fact at the moment of your writing there was quite a heavy snow fall, at least 10 cm of new snow since yesterday!

@keka: kormoran is not to bad on snow. actualy is above other summer tyres when it comes to snow

@g100sic: in my opinion even the worst winter tyre perform well on snow.

Hi everyone.I humbly ask all my more knowledgeable friends specially Heinz a question. In Kerman my hometown we hardly ever have rain let alone snow and
half of these tires that you all talk about are non-existent ,so I choose michelin XH1 185/65 R 15. Is it a good choice for me or what? unsure.gif

It is a good tyre Aali smile.gif

I personally prefer Contitental PremiumContact2 or EcoContact3 but as I said, this is good tyre!

I am considering purchase of 4 new summer tyres for my Logan. After 2,5 years and more then 30,000 kms I think Kormoran tyres should go to pension.

However, I am still thinking which tyre to chose...My Logan is Laureate version yet without ABS so I would rather buy a better quality tyres with good sun/rain characteristics...I already have a winter set of tyres...

So far I considered Barum Briliantis - EcoContact- Tigar Hitris....But am still not certain.

Any ideas or other proposals?

You may consider Sava or Goodyear (I was quite satisfied with Sava tyres on my Lada Samara). But Michelin is definitely the top notch! And you may find a shop with a good deal, as I found for my winter Michelin Alpin A3 (20% off, I've had them for about 80 Eur a piece).

How influences ЕТ 38 for disks nave bearings to Logan? As often it is necessary to change bearings at such ЕТ38.

QUOTE(taco @ 10 Jun 2007, 23:32)
I think it also depends on how fast you drive / accelerate.  I don't drive really fast (120-130 motorway, 80-100 out of motorway) and I'm careful with braking or accelerating (I mean, I try to drive as softly as possible, which is good for my car, for the environment...and my wallet  tongue.gif ).

HOW you drive is almost as important as which tyres are used in MY opinion ... Winter tyres are BIG here in Germany ... giving (again in MY opinion) some drivers a false sense of security ... I now have my winter tyres on so I can drive like a idiot .. unsure.gif

Having spent some 32 years in the Fire Service clearing up 'bits' of these same people off of the roads ... driving more sensibly will help ENOURMOUSLY as taco suggests.

Well done taco and safe driving to you all ...
