OK about the problem with the radio simply go to the Renault dealer and ask them to check what's happening (probably you lost some cable connection accidentally). I don't think they are going to give you "a cheap service for a cheap car", they'll behave as a Renault dealer is expected to do. Don't pay attention to the flamers. See you! Happy easter! I used to drive a Long distance Truck for a German firm .and one of My trips was to drive to Tunisia Via a Ferry from France .In Tunisia I would load up Tracksuits
for the firm ADDIDAS (GERMAN) made in Tunisia mmmmmmmm how come eh
and as for Logans seen lately .I saw one in my street (of 70 houses ) so that is two in this little Village..Its a start

Well, some people heard about that perfume/parfüm/fragrance, they are happy to use it, and I am one of those. Never heard 'bout it? Ah yeah, you already told me you're living in a village, maybe it's normal for you to find it funny.

P.S: How many logans have you seen in Karlsruhe so far? I'm quite sure you heard about "Jahreswagen", and I hope you know what you can get for your money buying one . If not, you can take this as an advice. If not, you still got Kia (although I will never buy such a brand), and by that brand you get more car for you money as by Dacia.
And in the end, you don't have to be upset on the germans because the British industry sold the Mini, and the germans made a succes out of it .

Mate, once for all you gotta admit that England is even more expensive to live in as Germany is. Also you gotta admit that you may not compare a japanese car from the '70 years with a romanian car (although I am 100% romanian, it's not hard for me to admit such a thing).
I mean come on, there are some things that are cristal clear for everybody, if lots of lots of specialists are saying the same thing, they can't all be wrong, do they? I don't wanna imagine what you would have said in a discussion like "british cars vs. german cars". It is just the way it is, and we got to live with it.
As well as Swiss are well-known for their swatches, Brazilians for their football, Italians for their clothes, French with their wines, so are Japanese and Germans with the cars they made. And as long as they are a well-known power selling cars everywhere in the world, as somebody who lives in Germany it sounds (for me at least) weird to say that the German cars are overpriced in Germany. That's why I got myself in this topic. I have nothing against any brand at all, but we all got to accept a few true things in life.
And for your information, I live in Stuttgart, and "Nemtia" means Germany in romanian slang.

If you live in Stuttgart then you should know the cost of living in Germany and if you dont find it high then you must have a VERY well paid job

Mate, how should I convince you that I really live in Stuttgart? D'ya want a pic of my car, so that you can see the registration plates in order to believe me? .
And I know by myself, Stuttgart is one of the most expensive cities in Germany to live in, but it worth it! And still, I think is cheaper to live in as in some other town/city in England. To work and pay the taxes... well, tell me a country where you as a normal citizen don't do that.
Btw, you've had a few nice cars during the time, and I understood you were very satisfyed with the VW, don't understand why didn't you like that BMW, but there's not my problem. I still don't understand one thing: after all that cars that you've had (except twingo, of course ), you bought a Dacia. Do you really like retro-cars?

I hope too that you won't get any problems with the logan, and I really mean it. Afterall, we're talking here about a few thousands euros, and not about money for a dinner.
About the story with the carpark, you really made me smile . I never go by car downtown, only by U-bahn, it's a lot better and I don't get any headaches.
Anyway, sorry for (maybe) being a jerk sometimes, and I wish you a good stay on this forum, hope you'll enjoy it. And if the logans is making you problems, just sell it and look for something else, until it's not too late. (golf 5 as an "jahreswagen" isn't too expensive, as I saw lately).

It is a matter of necesities. Martin apparently needs a car to get from point A to B, equipped with a decent engine and that´s it! I personally think he make a good buy and that the car will suit his needs perfectly. It looks like you took the typical romanian menthality and way of thinking in germany, rather than leaving it in a hidden place in your native country.

That is so true I bought the Logan to get from A to Z though and it is a car that fits my Paypacket
I must say that the Dacia Garage were I bought it are not so good
The speakers have packed in on the radio and they want me to make a date to look at it ...I was there with the car at 1600 and in my eyes they could have looked and fixed it right then....This could be the cheap car mentality over here
first come the Renault and we will fit in the Dacia sometime or other

If that's not enough, have you forgotten all the technical problems with new logans, problems with paint, and the noises in interior?

What I was trying to say is that the discussion is pointless. Stu just bought a new car and well, probably typed ¨dacia logan¨ on the internet and appeared this page. So he presented the car to us. That´s it! And you enter the discussion saying that he is an idiot because he bought a cheap, ugly, romanian car. HE DOES NOT NEED ANYTHING ELSE FROM THE CAR. It´s a new brand. It´s a cheap brand. I have no doubt that the Logan owners were aware of this ¨detail¨ when they bough the car. Everydoby these days can buy a new BMW, or Mercedes. The problem is not buying the car, which one will pay in a couple of years, the problem is maintaining it. I would actually call a BWM owner who takes his BMW once a year for maintainment ¨stupid¨.

@icatanej, a large part of this forum is filled with discussions about the poor quality of Logan, but no-one's telling a word in here, on the english corner. As a matter a fact, this forum was made about 4 years ago by people which got only headaches with their Dacias, and it was never supposed to be a Dacia fanclub.

I'm out of here now, I hate to see that everybody may say anything bad about Daimler, Bmw, Ford, Opel (and any other brand), but when someone tells something bad about Dacia, a "proud romanian" takes it too personally and forgets what we're talking about.

Fixed the rubbing wipers
just pull them forward and twist them a bit to the right ( open the wiper to make a T shape) and then use the wipeblade itself to twist on

Yeah, you did exactly what you shouldn't do. Read exactly what I wrote, and not through the lines.

I did not come onto this forum for information on what to buy and not what to buy
I am 53 years Old and I have driven more Km backwards than both of you have driven forwards
I have driven 125ton Antar Tank transporters in the 70s and .lots of trips with mercedes Trucks to Bulgaria Tunisia Greece Italy and I still drive for a living today
I know the road I know the cars I know expence and I also know a good offer when I see it and that is the Dacia Logan ..............
If you dont think so then thats OK .. but so not start to fall out amongst yourselfs
over a petty problem on whats the best car .

About leaving Spain now and coming to Germany, I don't think that you're making a good move my friend, just think that the strawberry season is about to begin in Spain and I don't think you want to miss that.
