Hi Guys,

These days I am facing a strange problem. If you see there is a LED between both meters for pre start engine warmer heater in Diesel Logans, after turning key to ON mode which infact you need to wait till this light goes off before starting he engine. And this light remains switched off after engine is started.

But from last month I see this light gets ON while I am driving, infact after driving around 10-15 KMs. First its comes and goes for a few seconds and then gap between ON and OFF increases.

No idea whats happening as there is no effect on driving but worried about any sudden effect as this light is meant for pre start warming the engine.

Any idea guys .... ?

As far as I remember, that indicator is for both pre-heating the spark plugs and for electrical problems.

So, you may experience electrical issues of any kind. Maybe also the relay which commands the pre-heating goes on (and the led also goes on) which should not happen.

A visit to a Dacia/Renault service would be useful.

As far as I remember, that indicates water in diesel fuel filter.

You have to go to the service.

Problem rectified ... actually it was a manfacturing problem for all pre 2009 Logans in India becuase of inferior quality of wiring.

There is a white color wire in plug which powers engine and its bit short in length and tends to get loose and create a warning/problem in electrical system, resulting in pre heat light goes on.

They attached a piece of wire and shouldered again .... problem solved !!

Hi,
I have following problem: Dacia Logan 1.5 DCI, 70HP, produced Dec 2010, now 16000 km.

Only when climbig hills on the hightstreet with 110-120 km/h the preheating indicator goes on. A few minites after the hill it goes out. In the city and in the mountains (60 km/h in 4-gier) it does not go on. The visit in Dacia service was without any success.

Ezee, could you please give me a more detailed discription which cables and plugs you have checked!
Any other idea is wellcome!
Many thanks in advance
