Problema e urmatoarea: am un Sony Vaio al carui docking-station lipseste (mi l-a adus o ruda cadou - deci n-am comentat nimic).
Acum mi s-a nenorocit sitemul de operare la el. Cum fac sa-l instalez fara unitate optica? sad.gif
Windows-ul din pacate nu poate fi copiat pe un stick (nu face stick-ul boot-abil).
Alta varianta nu vad decat prin "network boot", dar asta e mai complicata, dat fiind ca placa mea de retea s-a dus acum ceva vreme.

Astept sugestii.

Nu ar mai fi o solutie sa [puna hardu pe alt laptop,sa puna acolo pe el un windows bootabil,si proma sal puna la loc si sa incerce asa ?

Citeste de pe USB la boot, doar ca nu pot sa fac stick-ul boot-abil (sau sunt eu prea cretin la ora asta).
Copiat direct (copy-paste), windows-ul nu e boot-abil.

Mare prostie si cu dockin-station-ul asta !

daca iti citeste USB, incearca cu o unitate CD pe usb, gasesti oriunde unitati externe.
O varianta un pic mai complicata ar fi sa scoti HDD, sa il legi la alt laptop (sau chiar PC ,exista mufe de adaptare) ca singurul hard-disk din sistem, sa instalezi windows pe el pana in pasul in care ajunge sa fie pornit OK,dar fara drivere instalate.
Dupa asta, pui hdd in laptopul tau si va porni. driverele de la laptop le poti introduce prin stick usb ulterior.
Tot prin stick poti copia pe HDD o imagine nero a cd-ului de windows, pe care sa o poti monta cu daemon tools ca virtual CD, o sa mai ai nevoie de ea pe ici pe colo... Succes !

Din cate imi amintesc exista niste programe prin care iti poti personaliza cd-ul bootabil de windows. Dupa ce ai terminat il poti scrie pe un cd sau pe hdd. tu in loc de hdd ii dai pe memory stick.

Varianta 2: Daca ai floppy disk

Cand eram mai mic foloseam windows 98 si cream discheta de boot. Poti incerca sa bootezi de pe disk si apoi sa intri din dos pe stick (Stickul sa fie fat 32, NTFS nu merge in dos).

Astazi incerc cu o unitate optica externa. Daca nu... dau hard-ul jos si vad ce fac. Oricum , s-ar putea sa am si ceva bube la HDD.

Vezi in Bios ca trebuie sa-ti permita o bootare de pe usb.
Dupa care, fa cum zice GoGu.
Daca nici asa nu merge, ti-l cumpar eu.

In nici un caz nu-l vand, nu ma sperii eu de un sitem de operare cazut.
Posibilitati de instalare exista (chiar daca mai putin usoare), de ex: dat hardul jos, network boot, gasit un doking-station.
Oricum, o sa-i fac cumva bios-update ca sa poata boota de pe USB (in caz ca nu poate).

Nu mai booteaza de pe hard, zice ca
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM

O solutie ar fi sa faci rost de docking station smile.gif
Alta solutie ar fi sa copiezi pe hdd un kit de win 98 si sa il instalezi, apoi instalezi daemon tools si copiezi o imagine a unui cd de xp si o montezi cu daemon (desi nu cred ca merge).
SAU dupa ce ai instalat win 98 vii cu o unitate optica si o cuplezi la laptop si instalezi sp2.

Dupa ce reusesti (prin orice metoda) nu ar strica sa iti faci o imagine de back-up cu Acronis sau Norton Ghost, iar apoi dc se strica sistemul iti pui imaginea (o tii pe alta partitie, nu pe aia system).

O ultima solutie - mergi la un service, iti instaleaza aia win, platesti, apoi iti faci img de back-up.

Bafta!

Deci: va trebui sa scoti hardul de pe laptop si sa copiezi continutul unui cd de xp undeva pe hard.
Cu hardul infipt in alt calculator dai un sys c: e: (sau care e hardul tau). Asta o sa-ti copieze fisierele de sistem de ms-dos pe hard. Cand il pui inapoi in laptop o sa booteze in ms-dos. De acolo de duci unde ai copiat windowsul, in i386 si ai un setup386.exe sau ceva in genul de unde pornesti instalarea windowsului. Mai departe te descurci.

Nu e absolut nevoie sa scoti hardul daca ai cum sa copiezi pe el prin alte metode si ai cum sa bootezi macar in ms-dos. E posibil sa ai ceva probleme daca nu ai cel putin o partitie fat.

E 1GB, nu asta e problema, nu citeste calculatorul la boot de pe USB.
Citeste insa de pe "i.link" - firewire marca sony.
Deci cu USB-ul a cazut rezolvarea. O sa mai incerc totusi o data sa fac flash-ul boot-abil, si sa bag un `98 pe el.

Din cate imi aduc aminte Sony vin cu BIOS Phoenix, ar trebui sa existe optiunea asta pe undeva:usb support for DOS sau ceva de genul, la care trebuie sa dai enable. Si uita te la ordinea de boot.
In caz de forta majora, daca nu vede nicicum unitatea optica, muti HDD pe un alt laptop care are unitate optica si instalezi Windows-ul. Dupa care cand il montezi inapoi in laptopul tau si pornesti neaparat in safemode, ca sa scoti toate driverele care le-a pus windows-ul pe calcul celalalt. De aici te descurci cred... Eu unul nu recomand metoda asta, desi am testat-o si merge, din pacate nu e ca o instalare curata, se pot intampla conflicte si alte porcarii, plus ca parca nu merge asa bine cum o face o instalare proaspata.

Este un hyperlink cu Remote Instalation Servicies ca sa ajungi mai repede unde te doare pe tine.

@Iuliutz: Ala e live cd(stick) si nu poti sa-l instalezi, si oricum pana nu i booteaza de pe usb tot n a facut nimic.

Daca alegi sa muti HDD pe alt laptop, nu instalezi windowsul, doar copiezi kitul si pui si un DOS in caz ca nu ai deja...Dupa asta bootezi in DOS si instalezi windowsul din DOS.
Daca ai deja DOS, trebuie sa cauti un driver pentru USB sub DOS si sa copiezi kitul.
Ce windows ai avut pe calculator si ce partitie (NTFS/FAT)??

p.s.: in safe mode mai porneste?

NU porneste in safe mode si sincer nu mai stiu daca era FAT sau NTFS.

BIOS-ul e Phoenix R0204C1, nu gasesc nimic de USB.
