Im interested in what is the fuel consumption of the Logan.

The manufacturers data are not "nice."

Dsign says that he gets an 7,3 L consumption in Bucharest's traffic jams

With what engine did you get such a consumption?

In the brochure there is an 10,0 l consumtion stated for the 1,6 l engine in the city. That seems a lot, specialy because you can ussualy multiply the consumption from the manufacturer with 1,1.

If the 1,6 consumes 11 L in the city i will probbably try to calculate the savings I would get in fuel if I bought a more expensive but more economic car.

The manufacturer data is:

1,4 engine

-6,8 L - mixed roads (open roads/city)
-9,2 L - in the city
-5,5 L - on open roads

1,6 engine

-7,2 L - mixed roads (open roads/city)
-10,0 L - in the city
-5,7 L - on open roads

What is the experience of the owners?

Thanks!

Boris

Ha, well, it's not that awful. It's jus a bit too much. The Opel Meriva spends 10 L in town. It's a new model, and I would buy it tommorow if I had the money.

The dealer for Logan said that the 10L is the worst case scenario (AC on,...). Ocourse he sels the car. Dsign said, in another topic that he gets 7,3 L in town.

Anybody elese with their data?

So far it's

10-11 : 1
7,3 : 1

Bye

Boris

Just read a test article.

The reporters mannaged to get a consumption between 8,1 and 11,9 L in the city, and 6 L on the open road wtih a 1,6 Logan.

Bye

Boris, that 10L swcenario does not includes the AC on. Preference 1.6 still have a city consumption of 10L, but does not have AC.

This is an almost normal consumtion for a 1.6 engine. A friend of mine has an Astra 1.6 and has about the same consumption(but that engine has 100 HP)

Not necessarily! If you drive by midnight you may get that level of consumption - otherwise it is quite difficult.....

I have the 1.6 Logan for a month and I drove it exclusively in the city. The board computer shows 9.2 at the moment but:
- This fuel consumption is I think best case scenario the way I drive and that means with the highest gear possible for a certain speed.

No way to have 7.3 as Dsign says especially in traffic jams. NO WAY !!!

In town (Bucharest), if you push it a little bit (but not very much), almost 9l/100km (Ambition 1.6l)

Just to add my own data here.

So far in the city it's about 9 l/100 km, and that's not driving through the worst traffic jams in the center, but still there's a lot of traffic.

On the highway I've spent about 24l for 300 km, so it's about 8 l/100 km with a speed between 110 and 130 km/h.

On the highway, from under 6l at 100 km/h to more than 7l after 130 km/h.

To be completley exact. The onboard computer says that the consumption was cca 7 l/100 km on the highway. I've looked after I've posted the message.

The 8l estimate was done based on that that I have filled the tank to the top in Zagreb, and done that again when I arrived in Zadar.

I suppose the computer is more accurate.

I have 1900 km so far.
Average consumption so far in 8.9 l/100 km.
Some 600 km were outside of Bucharest, and the rest in the city.
Outside I drove rather sporty (top speed of 140-150 kmh) with abrupt acceleration.
In the city I'm calm and don't push it to much because I wouldn't get anyware sooner cool.gif .
That it.

Almost forgot: about 100 km were made with A/C on, and most of the rest in cold wintery weather (a lot of accesories on - fan, etc)
