Hi all,

I found over the web that in some countries Duster is badged as Renault!

I would like to replace all Dacia Badges with Renault ones.
I asked our local dealer and said he can't find any part codes with renault badges.

Any help on the issue mostly welcomed.
I assume it's easy to replace the 4 cups in the aluminium rims, the rear badge but it will be a pane to replace front grill and airbag signs.

Could you provide me with any info from where to buy the renault grill and if possible to swap the badges without destroying the airbag cover???

Your issues with swaping badges are plain silly to say the least.

on second thought, I decided not to fiddle with the badges.
I have a good feeling that after a couple of months... we shall be proud to own & drive a D-A-C-I-A duster, as I am VERY proud about my SKODA OCTAVIA MK1 right now !!

The "renault badge conversion kit" can be found in Romania's Dacia service network at around 27 euros + VAT.
Sold separately, the total cost of each item rises at 38 euros + VAT.

Feel free to ask your dealership if this kit is available in Greece.
If not, I'm sure Markos would be more than happier to assist you.

I asked the dealer...and they make the "chinese"..... icon_mrgreen.gif icon_mrgreen.gif
(Marko...please explain what I mean with my greenglish!!! biggrin.gif )

I mean, they don't have (or pretend the don't) a clue of what am I talking about Renault badges!!

I sent an email to Markos....

I was thinking to abandon the idea...and now... after what you told me about this conversion kit, I informed my wife...and she demands... to find the kit!!!!!

Muttley, you should better not tell me these marvellous news!!!
Now...I am in trouble...she's going to ask me to come there...to buy the kit!!!

you know....how women think...don't you????

I gave her an alternative to cover the dacia badge with a skoda from my car.
She told me...however, she prefers the Renault badge cause she hates the "beer opener" and the "green chicken"!! mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

If this is a Dacia manufactured car why change the badges? Not only you will damage the plastics that supports them, but you can also blow the airbag, messing around with the steering wheel badge. And this will be both dangerous and expensive. There is an old saying: "If it`s not broken, don`t fix it!" smile.gif

PS. I know about the "beer opener" looking badge, but what is the "green chicken"?

Thanks man, this made me laugh. It looks like a green chicken indeed. radmasa.gif I have a coleague with Skoda, I will make fun of him as he did with Renault badge when I bought the Symbol. You know, the Renault badge is a "jack" meaning that you will jack up the car all the time to crawl underneath and do some repairing. biggrin.gif

Look at www.LZPARTS.De TO FIND Renault front Grille and rear door badges that they put on all Renault Dusters. Trouble is you have to remove the entire front bumper assembly to get at the bolts holding on the chrome grille top section.
