23 January, 2008 - Honda has released first glimpses of the new Accord which debuts at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. The new Accord boasts quality features to challenge established premium contenders in the executive D-segment. Sporty styling and enticing driving dynamics are offered while strong environmental credentials impress in an all Euro 5 emissions-compliant engine line up. The refined interior is designed with carefully selected materials to create an outstanding standard of fit and finish. To complement the exceptional level of travelling comfort the interior is characterised by a strong feeling of personal space for both the driver and passengers. Technical details are still under wraps but the new Accord has a unique package of passive and active safety features to deliver even greater confidence. The new Accord and Accord Tourer models will be unveiled on Honda’s stand at 08:30 on 4 March, 2008, at the Geneva Motor Show. Sales of the models will commence in early summer. The new Accord boasts quality features to challenge established premium contenders in the executive D-segment. Sporty styling and enticing driving dynamics are offered while strong environmental credentials impress in an all Euro 5 emissions-compliant engine line up.

Technical details are still under wraps but the new Accord has a unique package of passive and active safety features to deliver even greater confidence.

The new Accord and Accord Tourer models will be unveiled on Honda’s stand at 08:30 on 4 March, 2008, at the Geneva Motor Show.

Sales of the models will commence in early summer.

Chiar daca asta nou arata mai bine decat accord-ul precedent, prefer totusi accord-ul euro Abia astept sa-l vad cand iese.
Problema in au e ca aia nu o sa importe break-ul, iar sedanul o sa ajunga spre sfarsit-ul anului, mult mai tarziu decat in europa

Deci stopurile de la break cam aduc a Passat, iar cadranele sunt ca la Mercedes. Toyota a facut la fel cadranele numai ca acul are ax si are peste el un ecran circular care da senzatia ca de fapt nu are ax. La Honda vad ca au facut ca la carte acele de la cadrane, exact ca la Mercedes.

teaserele sunt pt Accord EU.

Bordul e integrare in tipologia de design a bordului de civic dar pastrat mai cuminte ca si pentru clasa medie.

In rest e o evolutie si nu o rupere radicala de design, frontal vorbesc. Din spate ar face bine sa fie o rupere pt ca actualul break e ciudat rau.

si fac si motorizarea turbo de care se zvoneste

Ce bine ca parerea ta nu conteaza
Si mie mi se pare un facelift, o evolutie si nu o schimbare, in aceeasi linie deschisa de Mazda 6. Fata de Accord-ul actual nu prea aveau ce aduce nou dpv design, evolutia fiind in cazul de fata break-ul, care intr-adevar arata de data asta "legat", comparandu-l cu oribilitatea actuala.

Decat un model nou odios, mai bine o imbunatatire a vechiului design. Importante sunt vanzarile si daca modelul vechi se vinde asa bine, cel nou se va vinde si mai si.

Sa vedem si ce preturi o sa aiba, ca cel actual a devenit destul de accesibil.

With the New Honda Accord sedan and tourer (wagon) making official debuts at last months Geneva Motor Show, Honda has finally release the full details. Known as the Acura TSX in the states, the Accord hits European dealers in early summer starting with one diesel and two petrol engines: all new 2.2 liter i-DTEC with 150 PS/110 kW at 4000 rpm, 2.0-litre i-VTEC making 156 PS at 6,300 rpm and the 2.4 liter delivering 201 PS at 7,000 rpm and peak torque of 234 Nm at 4,500 rpm. All three engines get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard while the two petrol units get an optional 5-speed automatic with steering wheel shift paddles.

In the safet category, the Accord receives a couple of electronic drivers aids such as VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) and adaptive steering. Honda is also offering a suite of Advanced Driving Assist Systems (ADAS) such as Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), adaptive cruise control (ACC) and Collision Mitigation Brake System (CMBS).

Regarding the interior, nothing significant is offered for equipment other than the usual sat nav system, USB port for iPods and power operated tailgate, but the load capacity is class leading. The Tourer's luggage capacity is 406 litres (VDA) with all seats in place. This is one of the best in the sport wagon category. In practical terms, that is sufficient to comfortably accomodate four 46 inch golf bags or four large suitcases. With the seats down and additional 61 liters becomes available.

Last but not least, Honda is keen to capitalize on a special trim package such as the ominous looking Sportspack. Consisting of a complete four-piece body kit plus sport grille and boot spoiler (sedan), the package already comes painted to match the exterior. Stylish 18 inch sport wheels round off the package.

The Accord zone dominates the Geneva stand, where ten examples of the latest Accord are on display in both saloon and Tourer body styles. The new Accord has an evolutionary appearance with a sportier and sleeker exterior for the saloon and, more noticeably, the Tourer. Also on display is the all-new 2.2 liter i-DTEC diesel, from the Accord's new range of engines. This range also includes revised 2.0 and 2.4 liter petrol engines, and all three new engines will comply with the forthcoming Euro 5 emissions standards.
