Hi,
I need little help. I want to remove interior plastic coverings from rear door to do some tweaking (look at the attached picture).
mala3_door.jpg
I know that this could be done without much trouble, I just don't know what are appropriate steps.
As long as I can see, there are two bolts which have to be unscrewed. One behind door opening lever and one on arm resting part. At this moment I don't know how to remove window lever and also don't know how to remove everything, once both bolts are unscrewed.
On Rumanian part of this forum I saw some guy who painted whole interior in red. Also, I saw other guy who put additional isolation on roof etc. etc. Both of them removed various plastic parts from inside, and then put everything back without much trouble...
So, any help would be very appreciated.

I attached for you a picture presenting the necessary operations... Usually you should use a special tool ...but also you could use a screwdriver in order to remove the plastic ... you must use a little force to pull out de plastic part on the direction of the blue arrows...

Thanks AL,
This would help a lot. Could you please explain as well how to remove window lever. (red arrow on attached picture). Is there any kind of secure mechanism holding lever in place which has to be removed or I should just pull the lever by brute force?

Igor.

You simply pull it out with some force...
Is fitted with a kind of elastic claws. No problem, just pull it out.

Autobest - Dealerworst

Well, this is true story from Serbia. Customer bought Dacia Solenza and now wants to change cassette player with CD player.
He asked dealer for advice, does he can do it yourself and answer is NO. Car radio must be replaced at official service.
Or there is no warranty anymore :-(.
So I think klaus will go to the jail, since he made so many changes to his car. Of course if he lives at Serbia.
A next question is: "Can I replace light bulbs?”
Bulbs draw much more current (ARC less then 1A, but bulbs almost 10A) than car radio so this sophisticated operation must be done by high specialized persons only!!

I wish to thank all of you again. Someone rubed my rear door on parking loot and bended outer sheet-metal slightely inward. I decided not to go to service but to try to strighten door by myself. I removed plastic coverings in three minute process using service instructions you posted, and then just pushed outer plate by hand from inside... Everything vent in place, and now look like never been bended. Paint is almost untached, so I will just left it as is.

I just can't see myself doing this on some German or Japanese car. Logan is clearly made for people and I'm happy with that.

Igor.

It might be easier for German or Japanese cars if you have the service manual... oh, maybe not on the S-Klasse but on normal cars it's quite easy to do maintenance. I am doing that for my Galloper which is a carbon-copy of '99 Mitshubishi Pajero and I see no problem. It's easier because everything fits together when you are assembling back, no need for drilling machine to fit back the door cover or whatever else you removed.

When thinking about what I previously posted, I came to conclusion that it is actually a price I paid for car which determine if I should try to repair something by myself or not.
When I said "German or Japenese" I didn't mean that German or Japanese (or French or American) cars are really can't be serviced by user to some point...
Instead, I tryed to picture myself removing interior parts from Golf V or Mazda 3 or Peugeot 307 or Megane and realised that I would never think about doing something like that in first place. sad.gif
But, with Logan, this is something that came to my mind prior anything else. biggrin.gif And, question is why? Probably because I thought that even if I screw something, it wouldn't cost me kidney to restore it back to original state in registered service.
Of course, we talk here about new cars, not used. I would try anything on 6 year old Passat or Pajero (pricewise, similar to new Logan), but not on new, no way...

Yes, I also have same opinion, but it looks very hard to find any technical documentation about Logan, even one for end users not for specialist. sad.gif

Well, I have Logan Ambiance without remote locking door. Since I have alarm, I would like to use it for remote lock/unlock door.
I suppose I must use wires from left front door or this from switch at console.
I don't wanna use any other options for alarm (siren, cut off ignition,...) only lock unlock.

Does anybody has idea how to do it with minimal wire modification?

I have wiring diagram for alarm.

Do you have centralized locking system?
I understand that you don't have remote option, but if you lock the driver's door this action locks also the rest of the doors? If yes, then you just have to connect the alarm module to the existing wiring. If not you'd better visit a dealer.
Anyhow I sugest you to do the operation at an authorized dealer, because if you do it someware else you will lose warranty for electric system.
