The ING Renault F1 Team completes its work in Barcelona.

The Renault boys completed a busy third and final day of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya today.

Both drivers were aiming to work on set-up development with the R27. However, several mechanical problems disrupted the programme they had initially planned. While none of the incidents were serious, they managed to keep the team busy in the garage!

At the end of the day, Fisico and Heikki finished up ninth and tenth respectively, with laps on 1:22.758 and 1:22.783.

While the results of the day were somewhat mixed, the overall verdict on the week’s work was positive. The team once again completed plenty of laps, collected plenty of interesting data – and made good progress in its preparations for the new season.

The next few days will be occupied with a hectic schedule of preparations for the next tests in Bahrain. It will be held in the hot desert weather, over a total of six days… the final six days of running before the cars hit the track in Melbourne!
