If the car is out of warrenty I would find a friend with a pit to place the car over
![]() then I would check the brakes for wear ,Change the engine oil,Controll the gearbox oil and top up if needed ,Change the Air filter ,and Plugs and you could also buy a GOOD cheep anti freeze and change that too and doing this you will only have payed for parts and also have seen the car from under it yourself Oh yes clean up rusty spots under it and check exhaust for blowing (black marks on joints) Stu |

I see no reason why you should throw away your service book and instruction manual when your car's warranty expires
![]() If your friend doesn't have it anymore, look around for a friend that keeps things, and check what needs to be done ![]() I'd be glad to help you with that, but my service book is in the car, and there is a shower outside right now ![]() As for the experience with services in Serbia, I had to go on Saturday unexpectedly to the service for a diagnostic check, and since this is half of my second year of owning a Logan (2-year warranty), I asked them if they charge for the labor for this second mandatory service (it was free of charge for the first one, only for parts and material), and I got the answer that they do not charge for the labor regardless of warranty if they use their own (Renault/Dacia original) parts and material. They charge the work only if you buy the parts yourself and bring them to them. But I suppose this is valid only for the regular services. This post has been edited by g100sic: 4 Jun 2008, 19:27 |

Who ever mentioned throwing away anything?
![]() This is not my car and I want to know what is included in 45k kim service, I have no physicall access to the car right now. What I am asking for is a recommendation for the service, but not Integra. It can be a-friend-with-a-garage. |

Sorry for the misunderstanding, by saying "you" I didn't mean you personally. A couple of us tried to tell you that whoever is the owner of that Logan, he should have a service book (unless he has thrown it away
![]() I think that in my previous post you may consider what I said about a service where I have been as a recommendation (and it's not Integra ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Stu, I see no problem, there are just options
![]() You are obviously for a DIY approach, and he is obviously reluctant to that and wants to find a decent (and possibly cheap) service ![]() |

Stu, and what do you get when you pay nothing to your friend with a pit?!
![]() ![]() BTW, to help our friend Jaksa, I checked in my service book, and there is nothing special due for the 45000 km service, except maybe depending on the driving regime, if it is driven more then 50% in the city with an average speed under 30 km/h, then the belt should be checked and replaced if needed.
