Hi,

Anyone know how would I go about extending the 3 year / 100K warranty on my new Logan if I wanted to. I bought the vehicle NEW in Germany from a BVFK Freier KFZ handler .. and not a Renault dealer. A Renault dealer quoted €285 (where I test drove a Dacia) to extend to 5 years .... worth the money I thought, any ideas??

The dealer can help you out here. You just sign a contract, pay the money and that's it. In my opinion it's realy worth the money, especialy for a diesel. Not worth it if you pass the 100 000 km in the first 3 years though.

Thanks; Any idea if there is a time limit for the application within 6 months - 12 months??

Hello,
if you are living in Germany you cannot extend the warranty after
the vehicle has been purchased. The extension is only possible if
you apply for whilst ordering.

Any particular reason why this is the case in Germany Geoffrey?

My vehicle was bought through an 'importer' rather than a 'dealer' by the way.
