Renault - Official Partner of the 59th Cannes Film Festival!

Since 1983, Renault has been partner to the most prestigious film festival in the world.
Luxury, comfort and style are indispensable at Cannes, and each year a fleet of luxury Renault vehicles can be seen alongside the Festival's stars and celebrities.

For its 24th year of loyalty to this prestigious event, 100 Vel Satis 3.5 V6 models in their pearlescent Crépuscule Blue attire, adorned with Palme d'Or emblems and flags, will proudly drive down the Croisette from May 17 th to 28 th for the 59th Cannes Film Festival.

Renault will be present at the Festival, but can also be seen on the silver screen, since many of its cars are listed in the credits of a number of films. In 2005, Renault models participated in 36 full-length movies, of which its latest roles include : « La Doublure » with Daniel Auteuil et Gad Elmaleh, « Selon Charlie » with Vincent Lindon and Benoît Poelvoorde, and « Quand j'étais chanteur » with Cécile de France et Gérard Depardieu, both of which are presented in the Official Selection this year in Cannes.
Renault also figures in films world-wide: "Passo a due" in Italie, Teraz Piątek" and,Jawam Pokażę” in Poland, and many others in preparation.

On television too, a number TV characters drive Renaults: in France ("Navarro", "RIS" ...), in Belgium (« ASPE »), and in the UK («Taggart»), in Italy ("Il Commissario Montalbano, Un caso di coscienza2") and many others.

Carlos Ghosn, President and Chief Executive Officer for Renault and Nissan, will be present at the Cannes Film Festival on the 27 May 2006, and will attend the evening official screening.
