picturews1.th.jpg

I think that this is potential problem with color on this place. It is bumper on front right side.
There is no mechanical damage as I can see.
Will it go further?

Any suggestions!? huh.gif

It could sad.gif It seems no primer was applied, or the missing paint was gone with the primer as well. Both cases are unfortunate.
What you can do is to repairing, and overlap a bit with the existing paint so that the new one will "keep" the older in place. You should use the normal procedure and materials for painting plastic surfaces.

Yes, this is a problem and warranty should cover it.

You should first call service by phone, and describe the problem.

This answer is unacceptable.

Who should know the procedure if not them?

Call them again and again... smile.gif

Very intersting.

In my case car-painter knew exactly procedure for painting rear bumper of my Ford, an he also knew procedure to charge me 85 euro for that biggrin.gif

Oh, he was extremely nice and fast, job was done in a day.

Don't you have something like Dacia Customer Support, or a line where to call when you're in trouble with the service or so? If you don't have such thing, you certainly have an insitution which takes care of complaints from unpleased customers. In Romania, if you're not pleased with the answers/solutions provided by Dacia, you can send your complaints to Consumer's Protection. Amazingly how fast you'll get the appropiate solution to your problem afterwards!

Real customer support dont exists. There are phone numbers of service, sale, etc.... but real customer support - NOPE.
I'll give them some time and than I'll write an email to Consumer's Protection in Romania, and copy of that to Mr. Eric Grasser -CE- in Serbia.

I don't think Romanian Consumer's Protection will handle ypur complaint, is out of their jurisdiction. You have to go to the serbian Consumer's Protection.

you can use some transparent nail polish at the edge (where the paint is peeled) to prevent further exfoliation. I had the same problem on my car (the service that replaced my front bumper - after a small accident - did not do a very good paint job), and nail polish worked fine. And it is much faster than taking your car to service and arguing with them on the warranty procedure biggrin.gif

it is much faster but I'll wait them.

wacko.gif Now they have told me to come to service (first time was "go to offical workshop")..... (Finally they have procedure!?? wink.gif )
They say now that they need picture of this to send to central in Romania blink.gif , so they asked me to come there so they could take a picture of that.
Well, because I do not have time to visit them now, I sent them this picture.

I've called them today, and this guy told me that he thing that "rock" made this...bla...bla... anyway they sent picture to Romania, but also he asked me to take more clearly picture.

Find time and take the car in!
No one will accept a photo of damage if they have not seen the damage themselves. Would you??

Well, they want photo! Photo is no problem at all.
"Problem" is that they did not know procedure.
Now they "know" and procedure is to take photo and send to HQ in Romania....

I don't really understand this stupid procedure. They preffer to send the picture in Romania rather than paint 2 square cm of bumper. How much would that cost them?? Instead of exchanging photos with Dacia, isn't it easier to paint the lousy 2 cenitmeters and have a satisified customer??

You cannot quality paint bumper if you paint only 2 cm2 or partially.

Whole bumper should be painted and you should demand it.

In that area you can paint only a few centimeters because its an edge, and you can easily paint only the edge of the bumper without leaving any marks, so the touch of paint will not be visible. It's unnecessary to repaint the hole bumper. Belive me because I had a problem on the rear bumper (my fault - right side of the rear bumper- I've used a high pressure hot-water jet to remove some tar and i've inssisted too much an too close and the paint was exfoliated ) and I asked a friend of mine who works at Nissan and he re-painted only that side area and it looks like it was never touched (he restored the laquer on a wider area).
