Hi ! I'm afraid this is more a wish than a real possibility,at least I've seen no information about Logan having such items in the future, neither as serie nor as optional (Exception: Sidebags in MCV). I think it would be a good idea for Dacia to do so (at least in Western Europe, where people are becoming more demanding regarding safety standards). Of course it might as well be a deliberate action NOT to do so in case someone decides to go for a Logan rather than a Megane (what I'd do if Logan had better such things) huh.gif

If I'm not mistaking , sidebags are already an optional on the MCV and will be soon present on the saloon verions to.

after they eat "mamaliga" maybee in 2009, when the new 4X4 Dacia(allroad) will be realease on the market, the slideairbags, Windowbags and ESP will be optional on this car rolleyes.gif laugh.gif

The saloon version also has side airbags, not just the MCV.

In Spain they are not available yet, neither as serie nor as optional equipment, but if they are in Romania it means they will become available in the near future smile.gif As a matter of fact, it is the lack of safety items ( and of money in my bank account sad.gif ) what refrains me from buying it. unsure.gif

In my Opinion a ESP for a Front-Drived -Car is nonsens. If you are drive so fast, that the pysics will catch you no ESP will help you and the Airbags... 2 Airbags is ok BUT nothing more. If I said ...my Opinion.

If Stu said more BSP (Brain Stabilized Program) than ESP

Sure, you're both right. I'm not talking about race driving but about those "bad luck" moments ( heavy rain, ice, a deer crossing in front of you...etc) when ESP can save you from having an accident ( of course, 180 km /h driving will make all safety gadgets useless ) or an extra airbag might save your life or minimise injuries.

If I have to choose I keep BSP rather than ESP too biggrin.gif

The word we are all looking for is Defensive Driving
doing this is one way of staying out of trouble
Ok the other guy may not be driving Defensivly .But if you are then you should keep safe
I have driven with this attitude since 1970 and without an accident so it pays

Of course not !!! mad.gif It was just a business remark, because Western markets are more demanding, not because we "deserve" it more than people living in the East.

Safety standards should be a MUST in every market, but they won't be unless WE THE CUSTOMERS demand it and complain by not buying cars which have poor safety standards
