Se trata de un automóvil muy esperanzador para la firma que pretende aumentar su presencia en este mercado de manera notable. De momento sólo estará disponible en una única variante equipada con el motor 1.6i de 90 CV y cambio manual de cinco velocidades. El equipamiento de serie incluye el aire acondicionado, dirección asistida, elevalunas eléctricos delanteros y traseros, cierre centralizado con mando, airbag para el conductor, ABS + EBD. Lo más destacable del Logan es que le abre a Renault las puertas a un nuevo segmento en el que el coste de los vehículos es inferior a los 100.000 rands (7.974 €). Au schimbat jantele

In Africa de Sud se va produce la fabrica Nissan Dacia Pick-Up si Sandero.

Productia (ca si numar) de Logan berlina va scadea la Mioveni si va creste productia de Logan Break, Sandero si 4x4 pentru care se construieste o linie noua de asamblare.

Logan Berlina va fi exportat si in Mauritius si in Mexic si in alte tari unde poate exista o piata cat de cat atractiva.

Well, if the Logan hadn’t been wearing a Renault badge, I’d never have known it came from this stable. Lacking, I thought, was the familiar French pizazz and style.

Absent, too, was a certain class I’ve come to expect from Renault. And for sure, quality finishes weren’t leaping out and hitting me in the face...

Before I diss the Logan completely, however, in Renault’s defence the company is bringing to the car buying public a well-priced product that is a lot easier on the pocket than most French cars.

But actually, I wouldn't even call it a real Renault What we know as the Renault Logan is actually the Dacia Logan – also known as the Romanian Renault – and it’s imported from India where it’s built by Mahindra, those guys who make the cheap and cheerful bakkies.

I wanted to like the Logan. I quite liked the shape, which although not madly exciting is not unattractive.
And performance-wise it’s no slouch, for a 1600: it goes surprisingly well, is nippy and zippy, and sticks to the road pretty well.

Powered by a quite punchy 64kw engine it offers a surprisingly wide range of features like power steering, driver’s airbag, ABS and EBD, front and rear electric windows and radio/CD MP3 player. It also boasts a huge boot.
. It was - well, unimpressive, but then as I said, this is a budget car.

And ferrying a bunch of colleagues to the office I was subjected to a barrage of complaints when two in the rear tried to belt up
It’s the interior, the finish, that put me off slightly
. Neither was in any way oversized or large; in fact one was extremely petite, but both said the lapbelts appeared to have been designed for stick figures.

Yet for R107 000 or thereabouts, you’re definitely not going to find Mercedes-Benz quality. What you will find is a fairly economical, well-specced runabout that offers rather more space and comfort than you’d expect, albeit it housed in something that could best be described as bland-to-boring, with a fair amount of plastic thrown in.

But with the economy in the doldrums at the moment, this segment of the market is looking a whole lot more appealing than before, and I would expect Renault to do well out of the Logan.

It comes with a three-year or 100 000km warranty.
