Hello everybody:

I am very glad, yesterday I collected my Logan and I am very happy with it. It is very confortable ans easy to drive, cold and rain of using motorbike in winter has been gone ha,ha. For information I have waited for it since december 1st, good luck because car dealer had told me that it would arrive in two or three months. Is is a problem the cd is fixed, I donīt know if the security code will be enough to protect it far of thieves, in combination with alarm I hope so, ha,ha

greetings to other Loganīs owners and everybody in forum, people who are waiting for their cars yet be patient, at the end car will arrive sooner or later.

Manuel

Hi Manuel,

Do you have a problem with thieves in Spain as well?
What about the service for your car? Does the dealer have a workshop for Dacia, will u be using a Renault service for your car?
Is becoming Logan popular in your area? Did u see some other Dacia on the streets?

I am happy for you that you have received your car ahead of the schedule and I hope you will not have any problem. I bought mine 1 year ago, already 11.000 km (I have used it just 2 months in 1 year) and the car is happy, I am happy with it. It doesn't work like a BMW, it doesn't look like a BMW but on the other hand it surely doesn't cost as much as a BMW.

Regardless on whether it is used or not - the car is paid (for). So, of course, under theese circumstances, it is quite happy 04.gif

I think you are right... I might consider, beside servicing (oil, brakes, filters) to send my car to a shrink from time to time. Some therapy might help. radmasa.gif

Hi again:
Yes we have a problem with thieves here in Galicia, ha,ha and with finding a park place when you arrive at home. In my street it is very difficult find place for your car sometimes.

I just have been 4 or five more Logans here in my town. We have a Dacia flag and two logans in a corner on the Renault exposition ha,ha. I knew more about Logan by internet and by this forum when I arrived there to ask that the car dealer ha,ha. I hope they will have the tecnycal especifications book when my car need will be repaired in a far future ha,ha because now I think they donīt know more about this car. They are more interested in selling you a Renault car, more expensive that Logan, where they win more money for each sell. You have to wait a lot for Logan. I think is a problem of Renault who prefers sell more expensive Renault in Western Europe. At the end logan it is not so cheap here en Western Europe but is cheaper than Renault obviously. I am happy with car and the money I paid for it. The noisy is higher inside than in a Renault, the stearing wheel doing noisy too when you are parking and move it very quickly and the plastics inside car but the car is plenty of space for 5 person, back seats are incredible and the boot are BIG ha,ha, The lights are very good, lot of mist yesterday on the highway and I saw very well. Sumary: If you arenīt worry about others think buy a Logan, if you would like your neighbour will look at you pay more money and buy a better but more espensive Renault Megane with less space in boot and back seats.

I choose buy Logan and I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with it.

Manuel

Hello Hahnemann:
Yes the radio cd is fixed to the car. I donīt know if you can book in advance one not fixed, if you pay for it. I have put an alarm on the car. The radio cd has a secret code, if it will be not conected to electricity ( if a thieve remove it) you will need introduce this number code again or the radio cd will not work. They give you an ownerīs book that explain very well all the functions of car: heating, lighst, seat regulations, brand of oil and other supplies you will need etc... And a book for the radio cd, and a book for warranty.

Are you thinking in buy a Logan?

Hahnemann, the Radio CD is fixed, so the thieves are very happy. Even it is coded, I think there's no problem for some specialised guys to re-code it. So the only chance is to buy a new CD (with MP3 is better) with removable front panel.

If you didn't received yet the user manual, maybe it's better to ask it from your dealer or to ask by email - see the web page of renault available for your country.

Hello Auriest, Gorjeanul:

Yes, this week Iīll proof the Logan 1.6 here in Madrid, probably it will be OK and starts all the steps for purchasing in the dealer.

Iīm worried about the CD, How is possible the Dacia brand donīt have thought about it? If does exist a code also a decoding systeme, isnīt it?

Here in Spain the CD does cost 250 euros... May be itīs better put other one removable as you says (Gorjeanul)... But... Why this kind of problem just starting everything... I canīt believe it !

Thank you and best regards

Hey, Renault has to sell out the less performant radio-cd units and since it does not conforms with megane standard (or higher) it has to be fitted in some cheaper cars i.e. Logan. So don't ask for optional mp3/CD/radio unit with detacheable pannel and other modern features until the stock for curent ones runs out.
Anyway, despite the fixed pannel, this standard CD/radio units fitted in Logan are pretty decent unless you want to throw a party in it. And is cheap to buy a new one once yours has been stolen.

Hi, I think it is not expensive setting detacheable pannels instead fixed ones...
More expensive is buying an alrm set to avoid the theft in your new brand car...
Besides, there is higher risk to broken glasses... flying money; how many times?

Itīs just an useful idea or getting better that beautiful car.

Best regards

Too many problems for a simple RCD, isn't it? Then it's better to buy other brand, with RCD without display (display is somewhere else in the car -see Renault).

En hora buena por tu Logan!

I live in Barcelona an every couple of days I see one one on the streets. They are becoming quite popular here.

Last weekend Iīve been in romania for 3 days (after 2 years) and the country is full of logans. One out of every 5 cars on the streets seems to be a logan. Normally here, when i see a Logan i almost scream and tell my friends that this car is from my country. So when I arrived in Romania and found myself surrounded by logans i almost had a heart attak, imagine! (itīs quite a sight)

Hi all!
I got my new Dacia Logan Base 1.4 last mounth and I have driven about 2000 km and it feels great!
Because it is a Logan Base I do not have any cd player or any extra in it, but now there is an "offer" in Renault in Manresa where for just 170 euros they install the cd player and two speakers.
As the topic says: I am happy with my Logan too.

Hi and Congratulations ! Iīve got one here in Madrid; Logan laureate 1.6 MPI, everything is OK but the petrol smelling sometimes mixed with the smell of "new brand fragance", itīs a little bit unpleasent. Do you have any one similar?

Hi all,
I must say that the so called "new car fragance" is very unpleasant in my car too and I have been trying to hide it... but at least until now it has been impossible.
I have burnt some incense and it kind of works for some time, but after some days, the brand new fragance returns with no mercy.
I hope some day it will go away for good.

Don't worry, i had the exact same problem with mine but after 3,500 km and a couple of months the smell wanished and didn't come back since.

On the other hand, it is normal to have the smell, there are a lot of plastic in the car.... ph34r.gif
