Feb 16, 2004 – Fiat has announced that its "move into the past for a fresh look to the future" is to be seen at the Geneva Show, where it shall unveil the Trepiùno. The name is very unusual (and one can’t help wondering how they will spell and pronounce it outside the borders of Italy), but the car concept is not. The new small car is actually intended to be a modern remake of the Fiat 500 (not Cinquecento) success.

What we shall call the “new 500”, aims at challenging the Smart for size and character but has no changes to the original package. It has the cheerful and youthful style of the original but safety standards, front wheel drive, platform sharing and customer’s expectations means its overall length is at least 330 mm more than its ancestor. The baby Fiat born in 1957 was just 2970 mm long, but could accomodate four passengers and had a canvas soft ready to convert it into a four-seater “landaulet”. The designers at the Fiat Style Centre have challenged themselves with the aim of seeking innovative ideas not just for exterior styling but for interior architecture as well.

The name of the show car, which actually means “Three-plus-one” states that this is a peculiar four-seater car. Indeed, the interior layout and the thin seats allow so much room in the back that “two further places can be created through a clever arrangement of backrests and cushions”. In addition the flexibility designed into the passenger compartment provide comfortable accommodation for tall passengers in the back. Here the facia can be deflated by means of a conversion process to leave room for the front passenger and make more legroom available for the passenger seating behind, despite the very short length of the car.

Simpatica, desi si eu as prefera Toyota. Excelenta pt. partea feminina la facut piata si alte trebi locale. Succesul ei la noi? Direct legat de comparatia cu Smart sau, poate Matiz, Kalos. Consum, fiabilitate, pret.

Mi-as lua ca ochiu' una din asta sa ma dau prin oras biggrin.gif Trebuie sa ne amintim insa si de vechiul Fiat 500. Desi era belea masina aceea ca te simteai ca intr-o cutie de conserva si era evident mai putin comoda decat cea ce de azi, reusea intr-un spatiu mult mai mic sa adaposteasca 4 persoane iar portbagajul era mult mai mare datorita amplasarii motorului in spate. Am mai vazut o gramada de masinute din astea in Franta, am inteles ca si in Italia mai sunt. Numai la noi nu am mai vazut de mult si imi pare rau tare ca erau tare simpatice tongue.gif

Eu zic ca e frumoasa foc.
Oricum am inteles ca in Italia masinile mini/mici sunt la mare cautare. Am prieteni/amici in Roma si Genova si imi spun ca e nebunie mare acolo in ceea ce priveste scuterele si masinile din clasele mini si mica.

O masina mica pentru oras care sa coste pina la 5.000 euro si sa consume acceptabil - ar fi o idee buna. Matizul sau Tico au avut succes cita vreme calitatea si tehnologia nu erau depasite dar acum...

Preturiele mai tarziu ca doar azi au dezvelit masina.

Motoare: a 75 bhp 1.3 16v Multijet turbodiesel unit and two petrol engines, the 69 bhp 1.2 8v and the 100 bhp 1.4 16v, all of which are available with five or six speed mechanical gearboxes.

Mai tarziu o versiune Abarth cu motorul de pe Grande Punto Abarth- 1.4 T-Jet cu 150cai.

O sa fie bataie mare in segmentul mini pe viitor! Acum mi se pare foarte necesara o masina mica, de oras! Si una compacta/medie pt week-end!

Eu unul nu-i vad sensul daca pun pe ea 80-100CP. Pt. ce? E masina de 2 persoane, pt. oras, nu are motiv sa cantareasca mai mult de 800kg, si accentul ar trebui sa fie pe economia de combustibil. 50 CP ar fi mult suficient pt mersul in oras...
Versiunea sport de 150CP isi are ratiunea ei, dar cu 80CP nu esti nici in car nici in caruta..

De departe cel mai tare lucru e interiorul, in afara de faptu ca e o lectie de design exteriorul.

-partea rosie e metalica..sau in orice caz asa lasa impresia( poate e plastic)
-volanul din piele
-schimbatorul negru
-clantele retro
-inscriptia 500
-kilometrajul si turometrul

Dupa cum arata aici e peste clasa asta, dar probabil ca e pt o versiune mai scumpa.
Am o poza cu interiorul de vreo 5 mega dar nam cum sa o pun asa ca ...doar detalii.

Vai ce masinuta simpatica wub.gif Sunt mirat totusi ca de 1.2 8V au sarit direct la 1.4 16 V. Ce sa mai atat, noi ne plangem ca dacia are motoare prea mici, iaca italienii daca vor pot sa se planga ca le pun motoare prea puternice. Oricum dieselul 1.3 e numai bun pe masina. Si daca ar fi un motor de litraj mic tot ar fi suficient desi masina de azi mai are doar cateva linii in comun si .. numele. Iata vechiul fiat 500 ce specificatii avea:

Stiu ca nu aduc nimic nou, dar nu ma pot abtine: vai, vai, vai... Superba, masina cu suflet, prajitura... N-am cuvinte! wub.gif

Lectie de design si lectie de cum sa nu-ti bati joc de o masina de legenda (spre deosebire de monstruozitatea New Beetle). Mi se pare chiar mai reusita, in genul ei - reinterpretare a unei masini clasice -, decit Mini Cooper.
