> Elf Competition ST 10W-40 sau STI 10W-40 ?

Nu vreau sa redeschid mult discutata tema a diferitelor marci de uleiuri pretabile la Solenza (Dacia, Elf, Aral etc. etc). M-am hotarat sa pun numai Elf Competition si cu asta basta. Problema aparuta e ca nu stiu de care: ST 10W-40 sau STI 10W-40. Pana acum am avut ST si totul a fost OK (sau asa cred eu biggrin.gif ). Ieri am discutat cu un tip, inginer la unul din dealerii locali si asta mi-a spus ca e preferabil sa pun STI, dar nu stia sigur de ce.

si nu m-am lamurit. Ce draq e injectia directa ? E ceva diferit de injectia multipunct ?

Diferenta dintre ST si STI este de un I. E acelasi ulei (eu am bagat si ST si STI) numai ca pentru a vinde ST-ul si celor cu injectie i-au mai pus un I smile.gif

Diferentele dintre injectie multi-punct si injectia directa (din pacate e in engleza ca mi-a fost lene sa traduc):

In traditional gasoline engines, fuel is injected into a port before it enters the combustion chamber. The use of a port gives the fuel time to evapourate and mix uniformly with the air that it will be burnt with. However, this is not ideal because it provides little control over the air and fuel mixture.

Gasoline Direct Injection engines do not inject fuel into a port. These engines inject the fuel directly into the combustion chamber instead. This approach gives control over the air/fuel mixture and allows the engine to operate in 2 modes:

Stratified Mode

Stratified mode is used when the engine is operating at low and medium loads. Fuel is injected into the chamber just before a spark ignites it. This allows very little time for the fuel to mix with air in the combustion chamber. As a result, the composition of the air and fuel mixture varies within the chamber. It is rich near the spark plug and lean in regions further away from it. A rich mixture is required near the spark plug to aid ignition. However, the overall composition of the mixture is lean and this reduces fuel consumption.

Homogeneous Mode

When a GDI engine needs to run at higher loads, it switches to a homogeneous mode to provide more power. For such situations, fuel is injected into the engine early during the induction stroke. This provides sufficient time for the fuel to mix uniformly with the air in the chamber and form a rich homogenous mixture for maximum power.

E ACELASI ULEI. Intelege-ti odata pentru totdeauna. Au aceeasi consistenta, aceeasi culoare, aceleasi "ingrediente". Eu chiar am amestecat 2l de ST cu 1l de STI. Denumirea difera din ratiuni de marketing.

Nu prea. STI-ul e un pic mai scump. Dar ce rost are sa dai banii pe un I pe eticheta, de vreme ce uleiurile sunt la fel si identice.

O constatare...
Am comparat un bidon de ELF Competition ST 10w40 cumparat acu' cateva zile cu un bidon de ELF acelasi tip dar de anu' trecut. Nu mai scrie unde e facut (pe ala vechi scria Made in UE (F,cool.gif) si a "crescut" de la API SJ la API SL.
Foarte interesant. Cre'ca si literele alea de la API le pun de-acu la plesneala (a se citi dupa capu' departamentului de marketing :? ).

Sper sa nu se intample cum am patit cu Castrolul (initial am folosit dintr-asta): primul schimb made in germany, bun ulei, schimbul urmator made in CE... tzeapa.
