Good idea g100sic, a Spanish corner would be easier for me tongue.gif I'm afraid I can't deal with serbian...can't even think of how you pronounce that biggrin.gif But what amazes me is how quickly you guys learn Spanish when you come here for example football players (who are, in many cases, people who have not studied really much) wink.gif

Well, Taco, as for pronunciation, it is actually very simple, thanks to our great 19th century language reformer Vuk Karadzic, who introduced a phonetic principle: one letter (symbol) - one sound, therefore no letter combinations, and always the same pronunciation for the same letter smile.gif! But there ends the easy part biggrin.gif As for the grammar, God help you... wink.gif biggrin.gif But I'm sure if you were by chance dropped here among us, you would mingle just fine, barking in Serbian in not more than a year's time biggrin.gif radmasa.gif

You are probably right about that, but they have a secret help wink.gif Latin (in Spanish language) telenovelas are very popular here, especially among football player's girlfriends and wives wink.gif biggrin.gif

As for the Spanish corner, if I were you I would try to bribe LO-GAN to open one on he's site, if it is he's site wink.gif radmasa.gif

Greetings for all our Spanish friends here, and everywere smile.gif

Ha, ha thanks for the explanation..but sure it would take more than one year to start expressing myself wacko.gif

And as for Latin telenovelas ( South American soup operas )...I can understand they're popular everywhere...all the actresses are GORGEOUS and wear miniskirts and small tops !!! ( the script is rubbish though ) rolleyes.gif

Greetings back to all of you mates !

PS: Hi LO-GAN, would it be possible to have a Spanish corner ?? (just joking)

Very simple:
Read serbian or croatian like german. Vuk took this rule from german language. But,
Š is Sch or Sh
Č is Tsch or Ch
Ć is unique, combination of T and J simultaneously spoken smile.gif
Ž is J in french Jean

I can hardly wait to explain that one to the Spaniards" biggrin.gif

As far as I'm concerned, it's just we Spaniards want to be everywhere, it has nothing to do with my car but with the reminiscence of the Spanish Empire in the 16th Century..."where the sun never went down" radmasa.gif

Really interesting all the stuff about Serbian, it seems a lot easier now icon_mrgreen.gif

Just I thought you used the orthodox alphabet - what would make it EVEN MORE difficult !!!

I forgot our friend DiMaggio...why someone with a Lexus might want a Spanish corner ?? Don't know...maybe he feels a little bit Spaniard too - despite living in Barcelona ?? wink.gif

I haven't thought about what I can offer LO-GAN...let me think about something

By the way:

We also pronounce the way we write - with a couple of exceptions . For example;
Š we don't have this sound
Č is our Ch
Ć we don't have this sound
Ž is similar to our Y at the start of a word ( yate, yema..)

Saludos a todos = Greetings to all of you...First lesson in Spanish to g100sic radmasa.gif

Just for this, give a man that Spanish corner allready! radmasa.gif

And for the orthodox alphabet, or "ćirilica", I expect it will be an official alphabet, or "азбука", on Serbian Logan site! biggrin.gif

So you will have to write Spanish in ćirilica also! biggrin.gif radmasa.gif

No way !!! Should that happen, I'd quit civilisation forever and go to the jungle in South America...where I might be lucky enough and find one of the gorgeous actresses from Columbia or Venezuela we all admire radmasa.gif

Sorry g100sic, I couldn't imagine you speak some spanish..too. It looks like I'm the only illiterate here who doesn't speak a "strange" language ?? sad.gif

Un saludo y otra vez perdon smile.gif

What's the point of having to register to see the forum?

Could someone give me reasonable explanation for that?

Actually I´ve been living for 4 years now in Barcelona, and somehow I fell a little bit spanish. biggrin.gif One good friend of mine says that if you live in one city, you become part of that place. About the Catalans, I have had various experiences, good and bad, but I consider Catalunya Spain.

BTW, I dont have a Lexus, actually I am registered on various forums as Lexus but it comes from ... Alex.

Un Saludo!
