The new facility is part of a major program to create new centers or to extend the existing centers throughout the world (Morocco, Russia, Romania, Slovenia, Algeria, Korea, etc.) in order to cope with the growth of Renault's parts and accessories business. These 27 central and local distribution centers throughout the world provide Renault with a world-standard logistics organization and significantly improve the parts service rate for our end customers. This 150,000 m² warehouse is capable of receiving all of the parts from numerous suppliers at a single Renault site that meets the company's logistics standards, thereby reducing geographical dispersion and improving logistics performance. The Villeroy site is made up of four buildings. The first building was opened in June 2006, and the three other buildings in the period since then. Operations on the new site started in September 2006 and it will be totally operational by September 2007. The Villeroy distribution center will eventually employ more than 300 people, most of whom will be new recruits, plus some staff who will be transferred from the Cergy and Flins sites. The first 116 new recruits joined the company in 2006. In 2007, an additional 124 new recruitments will be made. The employment protocol signed in November 2005 forms the basis of an active partnership between Renault, the French State, the Burgundy Region and the Yonne department for the recruitment and the professional training of local manpower and the reception of Renault employees in the region. A two-level organization has been created with the Burgundy regional authorities and the national employment agency in order to train the staff required to operate the site. The selected applicants will follow general refresher training according to their initial qualifications and a preparatory course for the job interviews. More than 110 people have already completed these training courses. Successful applicants were then offered a training course in the shape of a fixed-term contract lasting up to nine months in the Renault warehouses in Cergy and Flins, at the end of which they receive a diploma in logistics. sursa: renault.com

Renault Parts and Accessories – Logistics Division

Renault operates a powerful logistics organization in order to process and distribute orders on a daily basis for the 150 000 part numbers of after-sales products that are sold by the manufacturer all over the world.

A multitude of complex flows:

The 150,000 part numbers, from tiny screws to complete engines, supplied by 1,200 suppliers and sent to thousands of customers in the sales networks in more than 100 countries, represent an average of 200,000 order line items shipped every day.

Mission:

To deliver an end-to-end logistic service: referencing, procurement from suppliers, storage, product conditioning and the reception, preparation and dispatch of orders all over the world.

Goal:

"To deliver the right product to the right place at the right time and at the right price" in order to make sure the sales networks remain loyal by ordering their parts from the manufacturer and that customers choose the brand's network for their after-sales service.

A well-oiled, worldwide system:

The source warehouses, which specialize in different parts families, are in charge of referencing, procurement from suppliers, storage and conditioning the products, as well as the dispatch of orders worldwide. These facilities are located in Cergy-Pontoise (medium- and small-volume parts, accessories, engines, gearboxes), Flins (large-volume parts, including bodywork, panels, trimming) and Saint-Ouen l’Aumône (chemicals, paint, batteries, airbags, seatbelt pretensioners, aerosols), Pitesti, Romania (specific parts for Logan) and Korea (specific parts for RSM). They ship parts and accessories to the sales networks, directly in France, Romania and Korea respectively, and through the regional warehouses to other countries. The Renault group has a network of 27 spare parts warehouses throughout the world. More than 150,000 part numbers and more than 200,000 order line items are processed every day.
In Europe, stock replenishment orders are delivered within 5 days. In an emergency, all parts ordered before 4 pm are delivered before 8:00 am the next day throughout France and to the European Distribution Centers.
