Hi,

Don't worry too much... We all have the same problem... There is not very bad, that means, the airbag is working, but seems to be some problem to the LED electrical circuit...

It is posiible, Dacia will gve us a solution, sometime in the near future, and we will let you know about.

Drive safely !

I just visited the dealer for a check on my Logan.
Nothing wrong with it, but I wanted them to test it on the computer and tell me how things are going.
I told them about the blinking LED from the passenger's air bag and not only they told me it's OK, but they tested in front of the the air bags (the car has about 5 computers which are controlling various functions like braking, airbags&seatbelts, locking system, and so on).
The test showed that the device is working properly.
Then htey have explained that the Logan display is "borrowed" with some modification from Renault CLio which had the same issue. It appears that the light is circulated through a plastic tube which by default has a small crack which in complete darkness gives the impresions that the passenger's airbag is blinking. The problem was solvd in CLio after the facelift.

So you really dont anything to worry abount as long as the LED is not well lit.

The dealer was right the problem is present on clio II also, but regarding the light coming from outside, is not true. The led is really blinking. Is an issue with the rezistors in the airbag computer (or with the resistors in dashboard, one of them).
The computers on logan are:
1. Engine computer
2. UCH - Computer for "habitacle"
3. ABS computer
4. Airbag computer (logan does not have pretensioned seat-belts)

True. Now that you mentioned it (except for the part with light coming from outside which was what the guy from DaciaTec told me) I remember.

Just read something about it on a Croatian Renault forum. Aparently, as mentioned, the Clio 2 Phase I, and Clio II phase II also have the same problem.

One guy there says that is't a problem with poor wire connector and that it can be fixed by changing teh connector. Apparently the wires in question are under the seat. I don't know if there are any wires under the Logan seat, but maybe it's the same problem.

BTW, I don't have that problem, nothing blinking.

Don't worry. I'm sure you have it. I have only noticed it after 1 and 1/2 months of driving the car. There must be complete darkness around you and if you turn on the headlights you won't see it because it's so fade that it's unoticeable near other lights.

Or, maybe they have changed the assembly line for your car 173.gif

After having been in garage, doing some hard examinations, I am obliged to

confess that I was wrong.

Yes,there is tiny, bluish blinking of airbag lamp.

I couldn`t notice it from normal driving distance, but when I came

closer, nearly putting my head ( not so small ) through steering wheel

I experienced revelation.

Oh,what a “eye of the hawk” you have…

Tomorrow,I`m going to visit oculist blink.gif .

P.S. Let The Old Man rest in peace…

Don't worry too much. Your eyes are fine. Maybe there's something wrong with the guys who tested the machines before sending them to us wink.gif .
