As it is said in the topic title, are there any tweaks for LGN, for it's computer? Is it possible to connect it to computer and to see some thing that are not visible by it's trip computer?

Does connecting any cables to the port (i guess it is located in the gloves compartment) voids any guarantees??

Hope to hearing form anybody who can tell me anything about it soon, Milan

Hidden functions in the Habitacle Control Unit (UCH):

1. Internal alarm (from the factory comes with alarm set on "external")
- the alarm will go off when the door or the boot are open in a "locked" state
- the alarm will sound for 30 seconds at a 2 secons time interval
- when the alarm go off the direction lights will blink

2. Opening of the boot door from the starting key or from the inside
- uses the second doors output to drive the boot door actuator
- the boot door actuator must be installed and wired separately
- the boot door will open when you push twice on the "unlock" button of the starting key or the onboard unlock button (central console)
- the waiting window of the second button push is configurable

3. Safety belt onboard light when the safety belt is not used

4. Speed alarm when you exceed a certain treshold

All these functions can not be activated in the service units by the diagnostics computers (handheld or PC/Software/Interface - PowerOBD), only with special software, available (for now) only at the Dacia factory.
Some functions requires the addition of some electronic components on the UCH board (PCB).

First of all,

thnx to all for the answers.

I've got an adsl connection, so first I'll download the zip fife mentioned.

Most of all I am interested in in the boot door opening possibillities. The fact that I have to turn off the engine and get out of the car to open the trunk is the only thing that's really annoying about the car.

As I said before, I don't think I'll do any allterations while the warranty is effective.

P.S. We need more emoticons offered smile.gif

LATER EDIT:
P.P.S. Downloaded the file. Any Linux versions available smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif ?

Now to get serious:

Does any body have sone information on the boot door actuator? Where to buy it, the price, where to install it, etc..?

And how do you connect it to the dashboard, or whereever is the button? Let me rephrase the question, where do you push to open it?

When I started this topic, my intetion was not to talk about that kinds of tweaks (though they are useful and it didn't cross my mind before). I wanted to talk primarily about software tweaks, are there any hidden parameters that trip computer measures, but doesn't display, etc. I'm happy that people around were not so single-minded as I (obviously) am radmasa.gif

Where can I buy that cable for connecting, and is it expensive? what type of cable is it?

Can anyone form official Dacia service see wether I have connected anything to that port? smile.gif I'm just being precautious smile.gif)

Untill next post, Milan

I think it's 4mm electrical cable, not expensive at all (though i don't remember the price).

1. At this time, the trip computer (or the odometer), if it is installed, has no known hidden functions or tweaks.

2. You can buy the cable, adapter (USB or RS-232) and the software from PowerOBD, but you can not tweak any parameter of the engine or other component of the car, just for monitoring and diagnostics. Maybe in the future the software will allow you to tweak, but we do not know when that will happen.

3. No, the cable or the software leaves no trace.
