Could someone recommend some good product for protection of Logan metalic paint against birds "products" smile.gif, icy rain, little stones etc.

I heard that there are teflon based products that are used as a polish wax but also protect the paint against various chemicals and little scrathes.

Anybody has experience with it? Are those teflon-based producst OK and safe to use with Logan metallic paint?

A garage? smile.gif

I have no experience with the protection polishes, I just try to remove the bird droppings when I see them and everything is fine.

What ever I do I'll never protect any car from scratches, specially those bumps and scratches you get on parking lots and from those little stones and gravel on the road.

I am happy when I can find a parking space for my car in front of the building, and can only dream about garage sad.gif

I heard some stories about "Turtle Wax" being quite OK, but :

a) should choose a special one for metallic paint
cool.gif should wait some period (30 days - 1 year???) to expire in order paint to "stabilize" (whatever that means...).

any experience with that?

P.S. What are those "polymer-based" waxes?

Hi all,
I also try to protect my car against bird "presents" by removing them as soon I see one. I think it is the best way and the cheapest of course! wink.gif
See you around!

It is true that it is best to remove it as soon as you see it - but sometimes it may happen that you car is parked under a linden tree (quite frequent around here) for a day or two - and that is fully covered with some sticky coating that doesn't go away that easy...

I always do wash my car manually with a little help from water pistol and big sponge.
From the very beginning I only use ZIP Wax – it is special concentrated car washing shampoo which leaves
thin protecting and shining wax film. It was manufactured by Turtle Wax.ltd but specific chemical formula
couldn’t be obtained due to damaging of the etiquette. It wasn’t expensive, just a few €
for a 0,5 `english litres` bottle which would last still radmasa.gif
I`m glad with that wax and would not try another product yet - see avatar.
Of course, it isn’t able to protect your beloved car from ` bumps and scratches you get on parking lots,
little stones and gravel on the roads`, clumsy pedestrians and bicyclists, kamikaze pigeons, green-eyed glances,
police radar sets, NATO bombardments, nuclear weapons, Al-Qaida etc. ohmy.gif
And, do not wait; there is no necessity for such doing `couse the paint is already stabilized
or should I say roasted, whatever you think that might be wink.gif
