@ironick: asta e distanta mea pana la munca si-napoi: dr. tarabei - piata presei...

daca stai in prelungirea ghencea, ferentari sau in titan si lucrezi in nord, o cam impingi pana acasa...

mi se pare mica distanta pentru ca in afara multa lume sta in suburbie si lucreaza in centru... pentru ei 19 km pe zi insemna ca se duc sa ia paine de la colt, nu ca se duc la munca...
dar sa speram ca asta e doar primul pas al celor de la toyota...

Speaking at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show, Ferrari boss Amadeo Felisa has now revealed that the company’s first production hybrid model is likely to be fitted with a V-12 engine. However, he conceded that it will be some time until the model arrives as battery technology is not at the level Ferrari requires.

Felisa stressed that the V-12 engine is here to stay and that other plans for reducing fuel consumption, such as introducing equally potent turbocharged V-8 engines, won’t phase out the big mills anytime soon.

Michael Macht, Porsche's new CEO, made the announcement, but the language used was carefully chosen to lock Porsche in to no definite timelines or plans.

"I am also convinced that one day Porsche will have an electric sports car in its line-up," said Macht. "We are therefore taking the first step in this direction with a full hybrid – in the Cayenne, the Panamera and maybe in the not too distant future also in a racing car or a production 911. Why not?"

Four motors--two each at the front and rear axles--drive the wheels, making the concept car a true quattro all-wheel drive. Producing 313 horsepower and 3,319.03 pound-feet of torque, the two-seater accelerates from 0-62 mph in 4.8 seconds, and from 37-75 mph in 4.1 seconds. The top speed is limited 124.27 mph, as the amount of energy required by the electric motors increases disproportionately to speed.

An array of lithium-ion batteries provides an energy content of 42.4 kilowatt hours to enable a range of approximately 154 miles. As John Voelcker over at Green Car Reports points out, charging time on standard 230-Volt European power lines is about 6-8 hours, but high-voltage charging can cut that to just 2.5 hours. The batteries weigh about 1,000 pounds together with the inverter and other control electronics, bringing the car's total weight up to 3,530 pounds, distributed in a classic mid-engine balance of 42 percent over the front axle, 58 percent over the rear.
