To be more specific, Daikin claims that in an EV with a range of 200 km (124 miles) on a full charge operating in an urban area of Japan with the air conditioner running, the new refrigerant could unlock an additional 100 km (62 miles) of range. The Japanese company says it will “consider the price of the new refrigerant while looking at market prices,” according to the same report. Currently, the most common refrigerant for use in EV air conditioners, a product jointly developed by U.S. companies Honeywell and Chemours, costs around 30,000 yen ($270) per vehicle. Since the alternative to increase battery capacity to extend range by 100 km is much more expensive, automakers are likely to pay twice the current price for the new refrigerant without blinking. Daikin has already developed the product, and U.S. industry group SAE International will verify its performance and safety under operating conditions. Interestingly, Daikin is not currently involved in the automotive market, despite being the world’s largest air conditioner manufacturer by sales and the leading producer of refrigerant. Bizar, credeam ca ACul trage vreo 2 kWh la un zoe, fata de 12 cat trebuie sa misti masina. Ok, e minunat sa creasca COP al inslatiei de racire/incalzire, poate raci si bateria si e mai scump ca whiskyul de 10 ani, banui ca or sa faca bani frumosi cu el.

Cred că Daikin se referă la AC folosit ca pompă de căldură, fie că e vară, fie că e iarnă - și iarna e jale cu consumul de curent pentru încălzire, dacă ai putea folosi o pompă de căldură iarna și la temperaturi foarte joase, fără să mai fii nevoit să apelezi la aeroterme cu rezistențe sau PTC ai face o economie de curent considerabilă.

Deci o pompă de căldură utilizabilă permanent în condiții extreme de frig.

Mda, ai crede ca ar rupe hamu' cu asa ceva in instalatiile obisnuite de AC, sau alea nu consuma energie?

compresorul pompei de caldura are motor separat, nue rotit de motorul de tractiune care sta pe loc cand viteza masinii e 0....

pai daikin face pompe de caldura care merg la -25 de grade, pentru  casa.

Au cum sa n`aiba, la fel si altii, insa problema este randamentul, 3/4 din timp se lupta sa dejivreze unitatea exterioara, restul timpului mai baga si caldura...

au rezsitente de degivraj mai nou, dar nu aici e discutia.

Au demult insa cu rezistenta de dejivraj eficienta e si mai mica...aia se foloseste doar in conditii extreme de temperatura.
