Outline · [ Standard ] · Linear+ Speakers, How did it end in my car?

Hello, I'm new here. I own a month old 1.4MPI Laureate - sedan version. Ordered it in July, and had to wait it because I wanted side airbags (strange - you can immediately get Laureate with AC and metallic paint, and even aluminum wheels, but side airbags - you have to wait). I didn't want original radio, and today I bought a Pioneer HU and speakers. There are instructions on the net, and I hadn't any problems - front speakers where easy, one in the back also easy. But after removing the grill over the speaker behind the driver - there was a suprise. There WAS a speaker. Removed it - it's a Blaupunkt speaker, I presume original for Renaults and Dacias, Pioneer went in without a problem. So the question is: how did they put one speaker in the car, and nowhere else? Somebody forgot to read order, and after they screwed up they didn't want to hassle removing that one speaker? Other ideas? This post has been edited by stajp: 31 Oct 2007, 22:59

My dear friend, I don't think your problem was that you found that one speaker, but that you didn't find those other 3!

Mine had all 4 of them.

But it may depend on the country/dealership. In Serbia, as far as I know, even the basic version that sells without a radio has (at least) 2 front speakers preinstalled. I don't know about the rear speakers, since they are offering models of radios with 2 or 4 outputs.

Maybe it's about the market. In Croatia even cheaper Renaults (Twingo, Clio II, Clio III) come without preinstalled speakers - some friends bought fully equiped Clio III a year ago but without original radio and they didn't get any speakers (no wires to the back too).

Than there was most probably the screw-up in your dealership.

You made to many demands, confused them totally...

I din not get any speakers in my Logan (Lareate), I don't think you get any in Croatia.

As for you, that was simply a mistake.
