Hello ! I have a dutch friend whom is restoring a Renault 17. Curiously, his R17 was rusted EXACTLY where my R12 is rusted. Here are a few photos : has someone already had to do such reparations ? Was it easy, or really difficult to weld ? And I forget : are all those parts still available in Romania, and are they all the same on the D1300 and other models ( 1310, etc... ). unfortunetly all dacia cars have problems whit the rust.but in our stores you can still find these parts very easy and cheap.most parts your friend needs are compatible on all dacia(1300,1310,1410)so finding the parts isn't a problem.but the quality of these parts are far from what it's suposed to be,however with a good mechanic you shouldn't have any problem repairing the car.but if you are doing this just to have a car i advise you to abort.it's just not worth it,but if you are doing this to have an old car(for collection) please send some pictures with the car when it's finished.
