Motivul pentru care am venit la Seelow.

Aici, la culmile Seelow a fost ultima rezistenta germana inainte de Berlin. Paranoia lui Stalin era la cote maxime, temerea lui fiind ca il vor arde americanii si ca vor ocupa Berlinul inaintea armanei sovietice. Printre altele, la ordinul lui Stalin, NKVD-ul ii inteoga pe prizonierii germani cu privire la ce stiu de o eventuala alianta intre Germania nazista si Aliatii Occidentali impotriva Uniunii Sovietice. Nu-i greu sa ne inchipuim mirarea germanilor din timpul interogatoriilor.

Armata sovietica care lupta la culmile Seelow era comandata de Gheorghi Jukov, probabil cel mai bun comandant sovietic din timpul razboilui. Insa paranoia lui Stalin il lovea direct si pe Jukov, in sensul ca acesta era presat de la Moscova si amenintat ca in cazul in care lupta de la culmile Seelow dureaza prea mult, onoarea de a cuceri Berlinul ii va reveni lui Ivan Konev.

Pentru cine nu a obsesevat, este vorba de poza nr. 1 din postul nr. 2.

Posibil. Desi eu am inteles ca aveau o capacitate de distrugere foarte mare. Doar ca tirul nu era prea exact / nu putea fi directionat fix intr-un anumit punct.

Povestea reflectoarelor folosite de Armata Rosie in batalia de la Culmile Seelow.

Daca am inleles bine, scopul folosirii acelor reflectoare a fost ca sovieticii sa ii orbeasca pe aparatorii germani. Insa au reusit fix contrariul, oarecum similar cu momentul in care pui faza lunga la masina pe ceata deasa. Plus ca lumina venind din spatele sovieticilor le-a profilat acestora mai bine siluetele, ajutandu-i pe germani la reglarea tirului.

Reflector fabricat dupa 1945, desi in RDG nu se spunea asta.

PPSH-41, nu kalasnikov, si grenade "anans" tip 2, parca RGD-nu-stiu-cat. Daca intereseaza pe careva armamentul soldatului sovietic.

Multumesc pentru completare.

In completare, celebra arma AK 47 definitivata de Mihail Kalasnikov (cea mai raspandita arma de foc din lume) si-a inceput cariera in anul 1947 (de aici si cifra 47) adica la doi ani de la terminarea razboilui.

Invitatie la predare la care germanii nu prea percutau. Cine si-ar fi dorit o excursie gratis in Siberia?

Insa sovieticii insistau sa-i convinga pe germani sa dezerteze. Aveau chiar "political agitation grenade" care contineau un pliant explicativ care era in acelasi timp si permis de libera trecere, plus un fel de act de identitate [a se vedea corelatia intre explicatie si numarul obiectului expus].

Nu stiu din ce motiv la mitraliera expusa aici nu se vede gura prin care se turna apa pentru racire. Insa se vad gurile de scurgere a apei si lanturile cu care erau legate dopurile. Parca in cartile lui Sven Hassel se spunea despre acesta mitraliera ca era extrem de fiabila, ceva de genul "era suficient sa urinezi in rezervorul cu apa de racire".
Oricum, mitraliera a fost in uz din Primul Razboi Mondial pana la Razboiul din Vietman.

Viata pe front, cu 20 de kile' de echipament in carca.

Gagica de la casa de bilete a muzeului era fluenta in engleza, asa ca am intrebat-o de unde imi iau bilet de tren, avand in vedere faptul ca gara Seelow era completa inchisa, nici automat de bilete nu avea. Nu a fost deloc surprinsa de intrebarea mea si m-a lamurit ca imi iau bilet din tren, de la nas, doar sa spun ca m-am urcat la Seelow, pentru ca si nasul stie ca gara este inchisa.
Calea ferata simpla si ne-electrificata in estul RDG-ului.

In gara Eberswalde am schimbat trenul spre Berlin.

Calatoria pana la Berlin a fost extrem de neplacuta. Fiind sambata dupa-amiaza, toti taranii rdg-isti veneau la Berlin, asa ca aglomeratia in tren era maxima, ca in metroul spre Pipera inainte de covid. Am avut "norocul" sa stau langa 5 nemtoaice obeze, care vorbeau extrem de tare, de parca ar fi fost surde. La asta se adauga un ras zgmotos si extem de enervant la un interval de aproximativ 30 de secunde. Noroc ca in Germania merge trenul repede.

In gara centrala din Berlin un ICE se pregatea sa plece la Basel.

Cam asta a fost scurta plimbare in estul RDG-ului. Daca are cineva vreo intrebare, cu cea mai mare placere.
