Today I made first service on my Logan (1 year -9900km).
Everything was ok, I payed it around 48 eur (air filter, oil filter, oil (Elf)) etc....

So when they were checking bottom of car chassis, vehicle mechanic took out few plugs from the places that manufacturer in factory put chassis protection....

So I wonder is this standard procedure or it is not so smart to took out these plugs? unsure.gif
For few years it can leak out on high temperatures!?

And also they told me that rear exhaust is quiet "shitty" and that very soon it will rust up..... ( really it started to rust much!)

Go back to the garage and DEMAND that the plugs are replaced
water will get inside the Chassis and corrosion will start
all exhausts get a bit rusty .You can rub it down yourself if you want and remove
the rust

As Stu said, all the exhausts will rust a bit on the surface, but you don't have to worry because the stainless steel from which the exhaust is made, will not be penetrated by rust at least 5 years from now. About the plugs, I don't think that it's good to remove them, as they keep the protective wax inside the elements of the bodywork.

What does it say in your service booklet when you should visit Dacia for a service for a first time?

And what dealer who sold you car told you about very fist service - does this match with information in service booklet?

Are you talking about the 4 plugs that are located near each wheel? I may be wrong, but should't they be removed by the dealer before the car is sold? If not removed, they will prevent the water leaking out of the chassis, and it will rust. They are put there at the factory in order to keep the insulation inside the chassis until it becomes dry.

Can you send us some pictures of that plugs?

I wish to check my car, but, I don't know where the plugs are placed exactly.
