MAHINDRA Renault, a 51:49 joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Renault SA, unveiled new variants of its highly successful passenger car, the Logan, at the ninth Auto Expo in New Delhi. On display were the Logan Emerald (LPG Car-Eco Concept), the Fully Loaded Logan (an accessorized version) and the STEPPE (a spacious Concept Car meant for long road trips.) "The Logan has been a huge success since its launch early last year, with customers perceiving it as a superb proposition. The variants displayed at the Auto Expo are based on both customer feedback and future trends in the automobile industry. Today, with increasing numbers of vehicles on the roads, issues such as global warming have assumed greater importance. The Logan Emerald is part of our endeavour to reduce our carbon footprint by improving fuel efficiency, reducing CO2 emissions and developing feasible alternatives to petrol and diesel," said Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar, Managing Director, Mahindra Renault Ltd. Logan Emerald : Sporting an ethereal sky blue shade to reflect its environment friendly qualities, the Logan Emerald is Mahindra Renault's first Liquid Petroleum Gas powered vehicle. Economical and eco-friendly, the Logan Emerald is equipped with an LPG kit developed in technical collaboration with Renault engineering and Landi Renzo. At present, the kit is undergoing evaluation tests and Mahindra Renault hopes to introduce it in the second quarter of this calendar year. The price of the kit will be approx. Rs. 35,000 - Rs. 45,000 with a tank capacity of 42 litres. NOTE: "Mahindra Renualt would be launching LPG Logan in three to five months",The LPG Logan (with company/pre fitted LPG kit) is expected to be priced at Rs 35,000-40,000 higher than the existing model, said Mr Nalin Mehta, Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, Renault India. The car's multi-point sequential engine system, used for the first time in India, offers several advantages including longer engine life, better operating economy, smooth running and compliance with stringent Euro 4 norms. The Fully Loaded Accessorized Logan : The sophisticated Purple tones and brand new interiors and exteriors of the Fully Loaded Accessorized Logan add a touch of royalty and style to the car. Any pictures for The Fully Loaded Accessorized Logan ? Hope those one's have passenger and side airbags as in India those airbag types are not available as I know.

Fully Loaded Accessorized Logan my ass. In Europe it's available right now. Go, buy a Laureate, order side airbags. In accessory book there is an option of parking senzors (I bought them), 3 different producers of headunits, and a lot of other things (mud flaps, chrome muffler(aftermarket mufflers are so cheap nowdays), .

Only new things are wood-style dashboard, and the thermo cooler (which will probably be as the ones in Renault - cooled compartment, which is too small for anything. It's better to buy a small portable fridge which can be plugged in cigarette ligher).


As for the LPG version - Logan's trunk is so BIG, you can easily put an LPG bottle in normal Logan and still have a lot of room. And best part is - you can still drive on petrol, if you don't find a petrol station with LPG!

Steppe? Yeah right, there is NO CHANCE India will produce Steppe. Steppe would have a great sale in Europe, as it was presented over a year ago - still nothing. Sandero comes, but there's no Steppe Only a concept, to show around

If the Steppe is the same concept, then that became the MCV...

Does this mean that the MCV may one day be available in India in RHD???

Why not, MCV is not that different from sedan version (at least, not so different in the front)
