dispar vibratiile datorita alinierii pistoanelor!fortele generate de miscarea pistoanelor sunt egale si de sensuri opuse=>deci se anuleaza reciproc.

motor destul de plat cu un centru de greutate jos care se poate amplasa cat mai jos in masina mentinand centru de greutate al masinii jos...

Pe langa astea ramane valabil avantajul oferit de motoarele in V (boxerul e practic un V la 180 grade).

Si anume lungimea redusa.

Uai Muttley, ma dezamagesti, vezi ca incurci borcanele:
* The boxer engine (also known as a horizontally opposed cylinder engine) in which the corresponding pistons reach top dead centre simultaneously. Boxer engines should not be confused with opposed piston engines, which use a completely different concept.

* The 180° V engine, in which corresponding pistons share a crank pin, and thus each will reach top dead centre half a crankshaft revolution after the other. Flat engines with more than eight cylinders are most commonly V
engines.

Pe naiba. Versiunile difera de la autor la autor.

Boxer, V la 180 de grade, e tot un drac. Ca-s pistoanele la PMI / PME in acelasi timp sau ca impart bielele opuse acelasi fus maneton sunt particularitati si se reflecta-n ordinea de aprindere.

Nu cred ca s-a obosit nimeni sa dea denumiri diferite la 4L (ca tot zice vizavi) cu ordine de aprindere 1-3-4-2 si la cel cu 1-2-4-3.

Mai nou daca unghiul intre cilindri depaseste 90 de grade, nu mai e motor in V, ci in L... vezi Ducati. Mergand pe principiul asta, boxerul e deja I, nici urma de V 04.gif
