Hagi or Stoichkov? You decide...

Romania's Gheorghe Hagi and Hristo Stoichkov of Bulgaria are widely regarded as their respective country's finest all-time footballers. That is not where the parity ends. They were born in Eastern Europe, in neighbouring countries, just one year and three days apart, and both radiated for esteemed clubs and on the most prestigious stage of all at the FIFA World Cup™.

FIFA.com, however, wants you to separate them by deciding which of these icons was the greater player.

Hagi's career began in his homeland and, between 1987 and 1990, he inspired Steaua Bucharest to three league titles and the European Super Cup. He would later represent Real Madrid, Brescia, Barcelona and Galatasaray, whom he inspired to a series of honours before hanging up his boots in 2001. Beforehand, the attacking midfielder scored 35 goals in 125 appearances for Romania, and graced three FIFA World Cups with his exceptional dribbles, vision, execution of pass and shots from distance.

Stoichkov, a forward of rare ingenuity and assured finishes, seized a collection of domestic titles and the European Golden Shoe with CSKA Sofia, before leaving for Barcelona, where he formed an integral part of Johan Cruyff's all-conquering ‘Dream Team'. He found the target 37 times in 83 caps for Bulgaria, memorably propelling them into the semi-finals at USA 1994 and ending the competition as its joint-leading marksman.

Ok, asta stim cu totii ca nu se pricepea la vorbit.... nu am zis sa il votati ca viitor parlamentar, ci doar sa ii recunoastem meritele in cariera fotbalistica.... Sa nu ne`o ia iarasi bulgarii inainte

Hagi a fost si este apreciat ca fotbalist. Toata lumea stie ca are dificultati in exprimare, dar nu mi se pare normal sa ne luam de chestiile astea. Fotbalistii sacrifica scoala in detrimentul antrenamentelor. Important e sa faci bine meseria ta.

Păi atunci să stea pe gazon, nu la TV sau ca imagine pentru companii de telefonie (comunicație) sau nu știu ce marcă de mașini elegante... Sau dând sfaturi copiilor...

E vina lui ca e invitat la TV si ca e angajat de firme pe bani grei in campanii publicitare?
Din cate imi aduc aminte in Romania e libertate de exprimare. Nu ma intelege gresit, nu sunt avocatul lui Hagi, ca nu are el nevoie de asa ceva, si cred ca dpdv fotbalistic Hagi a cam fost pupat in fund mai mult decat e cazul, dar de aici pana a te lua de exprimarea lui e cale lunga, e o "lovitura sub centura". Din moment ce nu asta e meseria lui si atata poate el (si toti stim asta) de ce sa ne luam de el? E ca si cum m-as lua eu de tine ca nu te pricepi la programare sub linux de ex smile.gif

Hai sa fim corecti. Bulgaria a fost in semifinale la turneul final din USA 1994 pe cand noi nu. La turneele finale au facut o imagine foarte buna. I-au lasat si pe francezi acasa la campionatul european din '96.

Ca valoare si talent, Hagi a fost mult peste Stoicikov. Insa trebuie sa recunoastem ca performantele lui Hagi sunt sub cele ale bulgarului.La valoarea care a avut-o, Hagi a avut performante mediocre. Totusi campionatul turc era slab de tot pe vremea aia. Iar la Barca sau Real, Hagi nu a stralucit, a fost mediocru.

Deci nu pot sa cred.
Hai sa fim seriosi. Hagi chiar e un simbol national in materie de fotbal. Asa cum ceafa lata ala e al bulgarilor. Ala ne-a facut mamaligari si a dat dovada de cel mai jegos caracter posibil.

Ma scuzati, dar sunteti ipocriti (aproape toti astia care ati postat pe topicul asta)... NU v-a cerut nimeni sa votati persoana Hagi din afara terenulu,i ci DOAR jucatorul de fotbal Hagi. ATAT!

Eventual cand cititi ceva incercati sa si intelegeti "scrisul ala", da' probabil va place sa postati doar ca sa va aflati in treaba.

Ca sa fiu si la subiect nu prea isi are loc comparatia, Stoichkov a fost un atacant, atacant care traia din pasele primite de la mijlocasi gen Hagi asa ca ... in opinia mea este cam aberanta comparatia asta... e ca si cum l-ai compara pe Zidane cu Henry... nu le contesta nimeni calitatile din TEREN, dar nu prea pot fi comparati.

din ce am inteles de la oameni mai invarsta ,chiar si tata au zis ca dobrin a fost cu mult peste hagi si toti fotbalisti astia de prin romania, dar pacat ca pe vremea aia nu prea a fost asa recunoscut.

Votand noi cu spor cel mai bun jucator de fotbal din Europa de Est, am ajuns la urmatoarele concluzii:
1. licheaua de Hagi trebuie ucisa
2. Dobrin a fost mai bun ca Hagi
Ce mai urmeaza?
