Desi nu au trecut decat cateva luni de la lansarea versiunii STI a noului Impreza, Subaru a fixat deja data de 27 iunie 2008 pentru prezentarea fratelui mai mare: Legacy STI S402. Din pacate, noul model de performanta va fi disponibil doar in Japonia si va fi produs in editie limitata, ultima versiune - Legacy STI din 2006 - fiind fabricat in mai putin de 1.000 de exemplare pentru fiecare tip de caroserie: Sedan si Wagon.

Subaru Legacy STI S402 va beneficia de acelasi tratament ca si Impreza, impartasind aceeasi motorizare boxer cu patru cilindri de 2.5 litri twin-turbo. Transmisia va fi asigurata de o cutie de viteze manuala cu sase rapoarte ajutata de sistemul SI-Drive care permite diferentialului sa distribuie puterea necesara catre rotile din fata si spate in functie de conditiile de drum. Subaru va avea grija sa ofere si o manevrabilitate imbuntatita versiunii STI fata de varianta de serie a lui Legacy pentru a controla mai usor cei 282 CP dezvoltati la 5600 rpm si a cuplului maxim de 392 Nm disponibili in plaja de turatie 2.000-4.800 rpm. Pentru acest scop, Legacy STI va fi prevazut cu o directie mai precisa, suspensii performante Bilstein si sistem de franare Brembo care include etriere cu sase pistoane pe fata si cu patru pistoane pe spate. Japonezii au aplicat un bosaj mai pronuntat aripilor pentru a face loc jantelor BBS din aliaj de 18 inch echipate cu pneuri Bridgestone Potenza RE050A.

Interiorul lui Legacy STI a fost si el modificat pentru a inspira sportivitatea data de performantele tehnice, in primul rand prin inscriptionarea in mai multe locuri a logo-ului STI sau S402. Astfel, Subaru a pregatit o combinatie negru-gri pentru accesoriile din interior, precum volanul Momo, scaunele ergonomice imbracate in piele si covorasele speciale, completate de ceasurile de bord iluminate placut.

Noul Subaru Legacy STI S402 va avea un pret de pornire in Japonia de aproximativ 33.000 euro pentru varianta Sedan si in jur de 33.800 euro pentru versiunea Wagon.

ESP-ul obligatoriu din 2012 !


Comisia Europeană dorește ca din 2012 orice model nou apărut să fie dotat în standard cu ESP, pentru ca doi ani mai târziu orice mașină să fie comercializată cu un asemenea sistem electronic de asistență.

Aflată încă la stadiul de propunerea, dorința de introducere a ESP-ului în serie are toate șansele să fie aprobată, mai ales având în vedere faptul că noua politică ar putea să prevină 4000 de morți și 100.000 de accidente cu rănirea pasagerilor pe drumurile din Europa. Se consideră că pe în condiții normale, ESP-ul poate reduce numărul accidentelor cu 20%, pentru că iarna sau pe carosabil ud, reducerea să fie de până la 40%.

Comisia Europeană dorește să introducă în 2012 și obligativitatea pneurilor cu rezistență redusă la înaintare, pentru o reducere e emisiilor de CO2 cu până la 7 g pe km. Tot în acest sens se va introduce și obligativitatea sistemului de monitorizare a presiunii în pneuri, dat fiind faptul că foarte multe mașini merg cu o presiune mai mică în cauciucuri decât cea recomandată, fiind un factor în plus la majorarea consumului de combustibil.

Vice-președintele Comisiei Europene, responsabil pentru Industrie, Günter Verheugen, a declarat: "Simplificăm legislația. Îmbunătățim siguranța rutieră. Promovăm eficiența. Noi prezentăm o politică integrată modernă pentru cetățeni, mediu și industrie."

Sunt curios cum se traduce asta in consumurile pe care le flutura unii pe sub nas de la diverse alte masini si cum anumite masini autohtone consuma "prea mult fata de straineze"... Oare nu e stilul autohton de condus infect la faza asta ?

observ ca merg pe linia urmasului vectrei la interior, ceea ce nu e rau. Insa e cam aglomerat bordul ala si nu pare a avea o calitate super buna a interiorului. oricum vom trai si vom vedea
