The newer models of Logan (the petrol engine versions -built starting with september 2005) have an additional sound-insulation panel placed under the dashboard and around the steering column. This improvement has some effects in improving the sound-insulation due to the fact that most of the noise was coming from the pedals area, but don't expect to hear a dead silence.

Do you have some pictures of that new insulation panel? I saw only pictures of panels from motor compartment.

Well, I checked today this place under pedals and steering column.
And ther is this isolation that you are talking about.
And I bought my LGN in april 05.
And under carpet up to driver seta, ther is so called (EPS)(extruded polistirol).
No one didn't mentioned this (EPS) in this post!?

That was there from the beginning. The front passager has one too.
