Am vazut...

Uncle-sam >> Ce file manager folosesti? Ca poti intra manual in fiecare director si sa stergi ce nu e nevoie. Inclusiv "norton protected files". Te-ai uitat in directorul "System Volume Information"? Cit spatiu ocupa fisierele de acolo?

Money, s-ar putea ala sa fie problema. Nu pot intra in el. Zice "Acces denied" si cica ocupa 0 (zero)

edit: am dezactivat system volume info, dar nu s-a eliberat nimic

Uncle Sam >> Banuiam ca nu stii cum sa intri in directorul ala. Nu se intra in mod normal ca in orice director.

Si cum ai dezactivat system volume info?

Nu mi-ai spus ce file manager folosesti. Iti recomand Far Manager. E o clona de Norton Commander si e facut de autorul lui WinRar. Instaleaza-l daca nu il ai si mai vorbim.

incearca pe propria raspundere:

- start > run > sfc /purgecache sau mergi "manual" in c:\windows\system32\dllcache si stergi continutul
- stergi continutul c:\windows\temp, c:\documents and settings\userultau\local settings\temp si c:\documents and settings\userultau\local settings\temporary internet files\contents.IE5
- stergi continutul c:\windows\toate folderele care au nume de forma $NT_uninstall...blablabla
- arhivezi/muti pe alta partitie folderul c:\windows\ServicePackFiles. preferabil sa nu-l stergi de tot decat daca ai CD-ul de instalare SP2 (cel de la Microsoft cu folderul i386 "desfacut", nu installerul cu SP2 arhivat intr-un singur fisier)
- curati recycle bin si eventual ii scazi capacitatea, mergi in my computer>properties si razi de la environment variables user variables TEMP si TMP (numai de la user!), obligand in felul asta sistemul sa arunce temporarele numai in windows\temp, mergi in options la internet explorer si ii scazi cache-ul, muti page file-ul pe o partitie unde ai spatiu mai mult si ii dai dimensiune fixa (2*RAM e mai mult decat suficient).

toate minunile astea sunt solutii pentru crearea de spatiu liber pe disc, insa nu vor rezolva problema vreunei eventuale raportari gresite a spatiului (daca intr-adevar e cazul, desi eu ma cam indoiesc). ca sa scapi de aia recomand un scandisk pe partitia respectiva

Sincer cam atata trebuie sa ai Page File-ul ca sa mearga totul cum trebuie (e absurd stiu!). E o problema la Windows (care inca nu stiu daca e sau nu rezolvata).

Da, dar la instalare nu e swap constant setat biggrin.gif Daca vrei sa ii dai o partitie separata si marime constanta, atunci trebuie neaparat sa ai 2*RAM ca sa fie stabil. Am incercat pe mai multe sisteme anul trecut (cu 0.5, 1 si 2GB) si asa a reiesit. Totul a pornit de la faptul ca am refuzat sa cred ca la 2GB de RAM mai am nevoie de SWAP biggrin.gif

Money, la 2giga de RAM si eu refuz sa cred ca mai e nevoie reala de swap in conditiile unei utilizari normale (adica nu deschizi 5 instante de autocad, 30 de tab-uri in browser, etc biggrin.gif ). Dar, tot ce se poate. oricum, NTFS duce fisiere de 4 giga, asa ca baga mare biggrin.gif

Pardon, uite aici fisier de 44 GB dry.gif
Limita de 4 giga se refera la paging file, dar se pot face diverse chestii.
