Can someone compare quality of bonnent (metal sheets used for making bonnent) between Solenza and Logan?

Here in Serbia I see quite a lot of relatively "old" Solenza cars (mostly driven by our TAXI drivers) and quality of bonnnent and paintwork seems to be very good - haven't seen any trace of rust so far.

Is quality (thicknes) of metal used for bonnent for Logan same, worse or better than in Solenza?

Inside factory information? smile.gif

Logan is an upgraded version of Solenza in almost all aspects, including the one you mentioned.

Another proof that some of the guys here don't have any clue about what are they moaning about! They don't even know what the hell a "bonnent" is, but of course, Logan has it better than Solenza, just because they are Logan owners.
zorpetus, the producer and the thickness of the material are absolutely the same! The difference comes from the chemical threatment applied on the material which is by far better on Logan. That's why Dacia offers a corrosion warranty on Logan but not on Solenza.

P.S.: It's "bonnet", not "bonnent".

First of all thank you for correcting me :-) As you can see - I am not native English speaker :-)

I always wanted to ask about those chemical treatments applied on Logan - as same process is applied on other Renault series of cars - but, for most of the other Renault cars they offer 12 years warranty on corrosion (while "only" 6 on Logan).

Is is just marketing or _real_ Renault cars do have better (treated) bonnet (hood)?

I think it's more about production cost, in order to keep Logan in a resonable range of price.
P.S.: The correction was not for you, sorry for misunderstanding!
