Hi,

This might be a silly question, but doesŽnt the Logan use more gas in the winter ??

I am driving the same route as in the summer, "longdistance" but are having a higher gasconsumption.

A full tank on 500km. hmmm

Please advice

Mike

It is not yet winter here in gud ol Germany
500 km of going to work and lots of hills (Not in Flesburg) and giving gas to impress your girlfriend would use more fuel Take it on the Autobahn and check your consumption .Read my thread about trip to UK
I think it is OK just try the Autobahn like I said and reset the ON Board Computer all back to zeroStus Thread

The difference in consuption is very small. But if your's AC is on the gas consuption is a bit higher...

PS (for Stu): If I want to ask something, I will ask!!!

Yes mate just ask !! tongue.gif
and dont forget to turn off your AC in the Winter blush.gif
In winter the car uses more fuel due to using a rich mixture Auto Choke (more fuel to air) if you do short trips 1-3 km you will be on choke excl.gif
but as you say you are driving High distance ph34r.gif Well I have just completed 2000 km
using 7 ltrs per 100 km driving about 135kph for the first 800km of the journey and the last 680 km 140 kph The rest was town work wink.gif
I would have it checked out if I were you
What does your Computer say ??? have you reset it ?

I don't know about that. It uses electric energy from "alternator", that with more consumption of elec. energy polarizes more, and produces more drag, and that will affect your fuel consumption, but only for a tiny bit...

Lets be real he says radmasa.gif
Your heater will not affect your fuel consumption ! thats real
and if it does you must have a fan on it the size of a helecopter blade blush.gif
tire pressure /binding brakes /lead feet/crazy driving/bad settings of fuel system/
cheap plugs (change the Dacia ones)/are a couple of reasons for bad fuel consumption ........
Stu

FYI

300 watts (cigarette lighter)
Ah well roll on Summer cool.gif

People, what's the main difference between winter and summer (as far as the engine is concerned)? Air temperature!!!!
Colder air is denser, so 1 litre of air needs more gas to burn inside the engine in the winter then in the summer. Snce the air volume drawn in to the engine is the same in both seasons, in the winter the engine will use more fuel (and make more power). It's basic thermodynamics.
