vrei sa vezi daca functioneaza?
Pune un aparat care merge pe COM1! Eu am, nu stiu daca ai si tu, de exemplu un mouse vechi sau o tastatura veche.

sau vrei sa vezi ce transmite/receptioneaza?
Exista programe tip SPY, Labview are asa ceva.

@Dizzy: in linux e destul de simplu pentru ca portul serial e tratat ca un fisier pe care tu il citesti sau il scrii. Dupa cum zicea si DragosP, cu "tail < /dev/ttyS0" poti sa il citesti direct din consola.

De ce am eu o banuiala ca programul tau se va lega la o interfata OBD...? In cazul asta m-ar interesa si pe mine. wink.gif

LE: Poti sa-mi dai pe PM mai multe detalii (daca nu vrei sa scrii inca pe forum) si am sa incerc sa te ajut.

Dragilor,

Programul meu nu se leaga de un OBD. Asta e vestea trista. Vestea buna e ca o data facut se va putea lega de orice aparat care are interfata seriala si va putea comunica in orice fel vreti voi.

Scopul e urmatorul
Am un aparat cu care vreau sa comunic.
Interfata ce va fi folosita este RS 232.
Am API-ul aparatului ceea ce ma ajuta mult.

Aparatul citeste niste valori de la un senzor, le converteste in format digital, filtreaza, etc-uri.
Daca eu ii transmit o comanda pe port serial RS 232 el o executa, de exemplu sa faca o comanda de aducere in zero.
Daca nu, el imi da la intervale regulate date pe port serial, continand valoarea masurata.

Eu vreau sa aduc datele alea in program si de acolo sa le fac ce consider io, perversiuni, alea alea.

Cel mai simplu, cel putin pentru teste, ar fi sa faci un shell script de linux. Citesti de pe port cu "tail < /dev/ttyS0" si scrii cu "echo > /dev/ttyS0". Daca vrei interfata grafica pe linux, se complica un pic lucrurile.

Si pe windows e destul de simplu de facut.

Și aia ce a zis valentin merge chiar în două console diferite.
De ce vrei neapărat în linux, mai ales dacă zici că programare n-ai mai făcut de multă vreme?
Poți începe prin a descărca kylix-ul (varianta open source) și să te joci, ținând cont că serialele sunt ttyS0 (com1) s.a.m.d. Și, în linux, totul este fișier.

De ce vreau in linux?
Fiindca vreau sa pun un PC cat mai ieftin langa aparatul asta.
Si pot lua cu 200 Eur un Dell SH si o distributie linux gen UBUNTU e moca si imi fac treaba.

Pentium 3, 450MHz, 128MB RAM, 4.3GB HDD - 99 RON, si la 800MHz, 20GB HDD - 190 RON + un monitor 21" CRT WHITE / 1600X1200/ DIVERSE MODELE - 99 RON si rezolvi problema mult mai iefitn (200-300 RON)...si iti mai raman bani si de o licenta de windows wink.gif

Daca preferi linux (si din ce zici tu, cred ca ar fi mai potrivit), mai bine ai folosi un Debian pe care instalezi doar ce iti trebuie. Sa folosesti Ubuntu pentru ce vrei tu e ca si cand ai incerca sa omori un tantar cu tancul...probabil ai sa reusesti dar consumi resurse inutil.

LE: Daca te intereseaza firma unde am gasit preturile, pot sa iti zic pe PM; nu vreau sa le fac reclama. Produsele au garantie.
