Emotion in Espace range
The Espace range has been upgraded during the spring into a much more compact and particularly attractive model. The Authentique and Expression have been replaced by a more competitive and economical product – the Espace Emotion 20 16v 140 hp starting at 27,950 €, i.e. 3,000 € less than the last Expression model.
Market leader in terms of driving pleasure, the 2.0 dCi diesel engine powered by 130 hp is also available at entry-level from at 31,550 €. An especially lean and reliable engine, the 2.0 dCi endows the Espace Emotion with unrivalled driving pleasure at a highly competitive price for the trim level on offer.
Espace remains the benchmark amongst minivans in the E segment; a high proportion of its sales are top range models. Price, equipment and engines are enhanced by the special edition Alyum Plus and Carminat versions and the Tech Run special edition. With the new Emotion, the Espace entry-level version will satisfy the demands of customers won over by its attractiveness while arranging equipments of safety and comfort which made the reputation of Espace.
All the basics of the E segment on the entry-levelEspace Emotion comes standard with cruise-control speed limiter, front Captain Chair seat, a 4-spoke leather steering wheel, automatic defrosting retractable rearview mirrors, front and rear pulse operated window lifts and the Radio Mono-CD 4x30W, all this on top of the as-standard Espace equipment, i.e. 6 airbags, electronically controlled automatic air conditioning with separate FR/LH controls on front door, athermal windscreen, parking brake assist, follow-me home lights. Particularly well equipped and attractive, the Emotion trim level serves as a starting block for building the Espace and Grand Espace version upgrades.
Affordable and economical enginesEspace Emotion is equipped with an affordable range of high-performance petrol and diesel engines at running costs amongst the best in the market. With the 2.0 16v petrol engine, the Espace Emotion has a 140 hp power rating at a consumption of 9.4 litres / 100 km on a mixed road cycle. Equipped with a manual 6-speed or automatic Proactive 5-speed gearbox, the 2.0 Turbo engine has a power rating of 170 hp. Performance leader in terms of driving pleasure and silent running, the 2.0dCi diesel engine is available at 130 hp, with 320 Nm available from 2000 rpm at a contained consumption of 7.2 litres / 100 km on a mixed road cycle (Class E with 191 g of CO2 / km travelled).
At the core of the range, the 2.0dCi 150 hp, with or without Particulate Filter, as well as the 2.2dCi 140 hp with a particulate filter and 5-speed automatic gearbox.
A complete and highly competitive offerEspace Emotion is available from 27,950 € petrol version and 31,550 € diesel (i.e. 3,000 € less than the former Expression model) and as much as 35,850 € depending on the engine fits. Grand Espace Emotion is available for an additional 1,200 €.
Completely overhauled at the beginning of 2006, the Espace product offers a multitude of finely tuned features. The range is now based on the Emotion, Privilège and Initiale versions accompanied by two special editions, the Alyum Plus and Carminat with their distinctive characters and trim levels, and another special edition the Tech-Run unveiled at the beginning of the year with its triple innovative technological package.
Starting from 27,950 € with the Emotion 2.0 16v 140 hp manual 6-speed and up to 52 850 € for the Initiale long version 3.0 dCi V6 180 hp automatic 6 speed transmission, Espace boasts all the advantages necessary to reinforce its pole position in its market segment (70% of its sales) and win back its entry level customership, in particular due to the appeal of the new 2.0 dCi 130 hp and and the standard equipment level on the
Emotion.
