Bowing with the Aurion TRD and HiLux TRD, the brand haven't exactly set the Outback on fire. Two years and just 888 sales later -- about one-fifth of HSV's depressed sales this year alone -- TRD Australia is closing up shop. Neither car ever really took off with industry pundits, being called out for a number of perceive failings. All of that -- including an economic downturn -- made it even easier to wrap the whole thing up and punt it out the window. The Australian TRD rally team is also under review. dupa informatiile mele Toyota este singura firma care nu este afectata de criza economica, la modu' ca nu are nevoie de credit deocamdata...

Cand cei de la Toyota Au au lansat TRD lumea era sceptica in privinta sanselor de a concura cu Ford si Holden pe segmentul asta. Atat din punct de vedere al solutiilor tehnice (Aurion tractiune vs. Holden & Ford propulsie ar trebui deja sa fie suficient) cat si din punct de vedere al imaginii de marca, unde Toyota nu a fost niciodata perceputa ca o masina cu veleitati sportive. Ca sa nu zic ca Hilux TRD e dupa parerea mea penibil, e ca si cum ai incalta un magarus de povara cu ghete Puma
Eu nu tin minte sa fi vazut pe strada vreun TRD pana acum. HSV & FPV in schimb, garla.
