I have a light swithch on the glove compartment. The door seems to bent i little bit, so the left hand side is allways a bit open and it doe not press on the light switch enough. The light very often is turned on during driving.

Does any body have a similar situation?

I am nobody biggrin.gif !!! ... Im have exact the same problem.... but until now I was unable to find time to fix the problem or to go to the service.... I think it is possible to find a solution by adjusting the position of the door.

[slightly offtopic]
Al, you did not complain so far, am I right? I only said that nobody complained..... (which was an information by itself, if Boris had no answers he wouldn't have known if it is because nobody has the problem or nobody cares to tell him) wink.gif

When I catch the time I'll go to the service. They should fix the problem (I hope so).

I don't have light in glove compartment (preferance) but the door is sstill bent. I took the light from the trunk and put it here, but because i don't have a suitable switch, it remains turned on all the time at night, when the headlights are turned on. Sometimes it bothers me, because the light passes throug that space left by the bent door.

I think I've solved the problem. On the door there is 3 holes for little rubber parts to prevent noise from vibration.

When I opened the door there was only two rubber parts in place, the right hand one, and the middle one near the latch (or lock). There was no rubber on the left hand side of the door.

I've taken out the middle one and put it on the left side, now the door closes a bit more tightly. The opening between the door and the dash board is still bigger on the left side where the switch is, but the light does not turn on any more. At least not for now smile.gif

Maybe you can do the same thing, or something similar.

The light still turns on some times, but not as often as before. I'll probably go to the service when I find the time and will to go.

I was to service. It can be do nothing about the bent door but they put some rubber or something under the switch and now the light remains turned off. I don’t have more details because I didn’t stay next the car but they solved it very quickly. So... go to service! smile.gif

Finally got fed up with the light in the glove compartment, and went to the service. They have put a piece of tape on the door, and the light is now off when I close the door.

The service man told me that the whole series of Logans had the same problem.

Any more same problems?

P.S. - The reason for this is the hope that the people from Dacia are reading this and that they are going to fix the problem.

You`ve got my voice sad.gif
I think there is something wrong with lock, but not always.
Whether the light will be seen from glove compartment through unproperly closed door or not
depends of amount of patience, love and brains included in performing such
sophisticated operation as closing the door usually is… wink.gif

Boris, it seems that all Logans have this problem sooner or later (well, I don't know if they fixed the recent models...). I'll echo here what I understood from the romanian part of the forum: the problem is caused by the steel spring that pushes the switch back - it is too strong. There are several possible solutions:
a. The one applied in the service - fixes the effect not the cause
b. Replace the spring with a softer one - but it is hard to find an appropriate spring because it has a "non-standard" size
c. Cut a few spirals from the spring - not perfect, but it does the job
d. From time to time, manually bend the door back in place (not a real solution, just a temporary one if you are too busy/lazy to go to a service, and too clumsy to apply one of the previous fixes yourself.

I will try a solution next to b. I'm searching now a microswitch that could do the job, I intend to insert it into the body of the existing one.

Well the solution would be to change the spring or the entire switch, but for now I'll leave it at this. Maybe I'll try to do something later.

I had the same problem with glove compartment door and light sad.gif but I've fixed it in couple of minutes: got piece of rubber ca. 3 cm long, 1,5 cm wide and 2-3 mm thick, and glued it inside the door across light switch. Problem solved biggrin.gif

I applied vv's "d solution" with great success so far. Lasts for 6 months, taxes 10 seconds, costs zero and it's fun biggrin.gif

WOW,

The problem cotinues here in Indian Logan as well. My service man told me its a general problem with Logans worldwide.

Just put a piece of tape on switch button. It worked but now I have to apply a more thick piece of tape.

Is the only permanent and elegant solution.
My logan has this modification for 2 years now and the door stays as it should.
