biggrin.gif It snows only in the up-hill nothern region of india (i.e., Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh - states of india).

I stay in Mumbai (Bombay). I have bought a new Renault Logan 1.6 GLX (Mahindra-Renault Logan 1.6 GLX as it is called in India).

Its been 2 months that I have bought this wonderful car. I have driven around 1500 KMs with the highest speed touching 130 KM / Hr.

I have not yet been given a user manual for my car. I will receive it soon from the dealer. However, whatever I have read on internet for this car - it seems it is fair enough if I drive the car at 5th gear with a RPM of 3000 - 3500 (130 KM / hr) within first 3 months.

Just wanted to check on this message board if my assumption for this is correct. If not, I will drive it at lower speeds. However, this car has so much of power and the engine responds so well that I get too tempted to drive it at this speed considering even when that the car is new (just 2 months old).

Although driving at higher speed - I make sure that I drive safe. I would drive at higher speeds only on roads that are meant to be driven on higher speeds - There is a express way in india connecting two twin cities viz., Mumbai and Pune. The distance is 180 KMS. In normal conditions I make sure I drive at lower speeds (max 80 KMs/Hr on 5th gear).

Also I have one more question. I change my gears as follows:

2nd Gear 20 Kms/hr
3rd Gear 40 Kms/hr
4th Gear 50 Kms/hr
And after this, I am in my 5th gear.

Is the above gear change good enough for logan? If not, then what it should be?

Regards,
Mahesh

Hi
Change gear at 2000RPM (up and down)
You can go round at less revs in 4th like around town just by touching the gas pedal BUT if you need to go faster than change down to 3rd
anyway if you have driven 1500km you have now run in your car biggrin.gif
so off you go now and feel and enjoy your power laugh.gif
1st 2nd and 3rd speeds are OK but I would wait till at least 60 till 4th gear and at least 80 till 5th wink.gif
I hope you get your handbook soon .I would like an English one as well dry.gif
