We in India have a conventional wire based clutch in all Logan models, which is very hard and causes problems in long driving.

Is there any option available to convert wire based clutch to hydraulic clutch?

All our Logans have cable clutches and I find no problem with them at all
I have driven on one drive 1400km one way with no problems

Try the clutch in Lada Samara, then complain about Logan wink.gif biggrin.gif radmasa.gif

what's the purpose of a hydraulic operated clutch? because only the command part is hydraulic, (it is still a dry friction type of clutch).
A good use would be a "wet" multidisk cluth, but that's an overkill to a logan.
Or a hydrotransformer but it's useless without an automatic gearbox (panetary type).

Any way, the cable operated clutch it's still a very reliable sistem.
(and by the way, a regular faulty of 3-series bmw -old ones- was the leak in the master cilinder of the hydraulic operated clutch. So afterall it isn't "bulletproof" as some may think.. sometimes it just makes things more complicated, and that means more things can go wrong)

So .. get used to it!

As per a rep from company told me they have hydraulic clutch in EU countries, and removed that here in India for cost cutting purpose only.

Now its not me, there were others as well who were complaining of hard clutch at service center .... I somehow manage with this system by giving relax to my legs max possible but what about ladies drivers?

the cable actioned clutch on logan is not hard on cars in europe, i don't know in india. but it has a very long displacement of the pedal, the purpose of that being the exactly not to be hard clutch.
Is a kind of uncomfortable that long moves of clutch pedal, but the pedal is not hard. Actually on hydraulic clutch it seems to me the pedal is harder, but i should be wrong.
But you should check the clutch cable, because the presence of a fault cable is common in Romania

OK you will be annoyed with me Eeeze but could it be that indians have shorter legs radmasa.gif

Hi, Eeze! Did you finally solve the hard working clutch? By any chance did you find the cable having a fold ruptured and rubbing against the cable sleeve?

I could not find any fault in clutch cable but have developed a regular knee pain (only in left leg). No solutions from company as well.
