Ar fi util sa existe un topic de noutati despre diversele recall-uri facute de firmele auto. Incepem cu toyota care a efectatu un recall masiv la lexus:

Toyota is recalling around 214,500 2006-2008 GS300/350, IS250/350 and LS460/460L sedans over potentially faulty fuel delivery pipes.

The Japanese automaker is working with NHTSA on the US recall, which centers around fuel pipes that can corrode, eventually resulting in a leak. The problem reportedly stems from certain ethanol fuels with low moisture content that can lead to rust, occasionally (but not always) triggering a dashboard indicator lamp indicating a system malfunction.

Conform declaratiei reprezentantului Ford din Germania, D-l Isfried Henne, se poate desprinde materialul izolant al filtrului de particule care astfel poate veni in contact cu filtrul incins. " In cazuri extreme materialul izolant se poate aprinde existand astfel pericol de incendiu". Operatia de service este gratuita si are ca scop verificarea izolatiei si inlocuirea acesteia cu un scut metalic.

Mãsura vizeazã 525.000 unitãþi ale modelelor `Vitz`, `Belta` ºi `Ractis` din Japonia, ºi 830.000 unitãþi ale modelelor `Yaris Hutchback` ºi `Yaris Sedan` (identice cu `Vitz` et `Belta`, însã comercializate cu nume diferite) din America de Nord ºi din Europa.

    * Ford will recall some 11,000 units of their 2009 two-wheel drive Ranger pickups due to potentially faulty front wheel spindles. The spindles will be replaced at no cost to the owners.
    * General Motors will recall 8,000 G6 cars from the 2005-2006 model years over a corroded connector that could cause issues with the brake lamps, cruise control, and gearshift. The fix? A bit of good old-fashioned lubricant to prevent rust.
    * Ferrari will call back around 2,000 F430 Spyders to install a set of heat shields to protect some hydraulic hoses. As the story goes, the convertible top's hydraulic system may leak fluid, leading to smoking and burning.

In all cases, affected owners can expect to receive a letter warning them of the issue, urging them to schedule a no-charge service appointment with their local dealer.

Vehiculele in cauza au fost vandute drept modele ale anului 2006, fiind fabricate intre septembrie 2005 si septembrie 2006.

Ford is recalling its popular Ford Territory to fix a potentially dangerous brake defect.

The recall affects 83,534 Territorys in Australia, 7739 in New Zealand, 3612 in South Africa and about 60 in Thailand and Brunei.
Details of the defect were uncovered by Carsguide after more than 15 customers reported brake failures to our Ask Smithy guru, Graham Smith.
The problem relates to the front brake hose, which can wear through, leading to leaking brake fluid that could render the brakes almost useless.

McAlary said that a Ford investigation had shown that a combination of high mileage on the vehicles, along with frequent cornering at full steering lock, could lead to a problem with the brakes.

Left unchanged, the fuel tank vent valve may creep open when ambient temperatures are high, and driving conditions are just right. The misbehaving valve could lead to fuel winding up in the evaporative emissions system, possibly even getting into the charcoal canister, which could lead to driveability issues. The fix is a new valve, available at the VW dealer, free of charge.

The other recall involves nearly 6,000 CC models. A misrouted wiring harness related to the right front seat's seatbelt buckle could lead to wire damage. If the harness suffers damage, it will disable the passenger's airbag, while also lighting a warning lamp in the dash cluster. With a disabled airbag, crashes are potentially more injurious, so buyers are encouraged to head to the dealer, where they'll look for the problem and replace whatever parts are needed.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has just announced a major recall covering nearly 1.5 million General Motors passenger cars from the late 90's and early 2000s. The recall affects various Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac models equipped with normally aspirated versions of GM's much-utilized 3800 3.8-liter V6.

Apparently, some of these engines can drop oil onto the exhaust manifold during hard braking. If that manifold has gotten hot enough and the oil dribbles below the heat shield, it can start a small fire. The flames can then engulf the plastic spark plug wire channel, potentially resulting in a full-on engine compartment fire.

The fix? Dealer service departments will be asked to remove said spark plug wire retention channel from the front of the engine bay, and then retrofit two new retainers.

A Ford acaba de anunciar um recall para os Focus 2005 a 2008 vendidos no Brasil, que tenham câmbio e piloto automático. O sistema tem um problema no cabo de controle do piloto automático, que poderia ocasionar uma interferência.

Essa interferência seria entre esse cabo e o sistema de acionamento do cabo do acelerador. Se acontecer esse problema entre os dois componentes, existe o risco de travamento do pedal do acelerador, não deixando de acelerar o carro mesmo com o motorista tirando o pé.

The first recall, blanketing over one half million late-model vehicles, is nationwide. The other three recalls, all corrosion-related on older vehicles, are limited to the regions of the country where salt is used to de-ice roads in the winters.

The most widespread recall, affecting up to 531,894 2005-2008 Accent, Azera, Elantra, Entourage, Santa Fe, Sonata, Tucson, and Veracruz models, is NHTSA Campaign 09V122000. It is focused on a malfunctioning stop lamp switch that may prevent brake lights from illuminating when the pedal is depressed (the same switch may also cause them to stay lit after the brakes are released).

The second recall, affecting up to 175,765 1999-2004 Sonata, XG300, and XG350 models, is NHTSA Campaign 09V124000. That recall, limited to America's so-called "Salt Belt" states, is centered around potentially excessive corrosion of the front sub-frame due to winter road salt applications. If unnoticed, the lower control arm may separate from its mount.

The third recall, affecting up to 170,610 2001-2003 Elantra and Tiburon models, is NHTSA Campaign 09V125000. Also limited to the salt-belt states, the affected component is a failed lower control arm due to excessive corrosion.

The fourth recall, affecting up to 85,036 2001-2003 Santa Fe models, is NHTSA Campaign 09V123000. Again limited to to the Salt Belt states, the recall is centered around the possible internal corrosion of the rear trailing arms in the vehicle's suspension.

In all four recalls, Hyundai dealers will inspect, repair, and replace defective or damaged parts at no cost to the owner. In some situations, rust-proofing material will be added to chassis areas to arrest the corrosion process. For Toyota's part, the station reports that the automaker is buying back select models at 1.5 times their Blue Book value, but there are other truck owners who are still clamoring for resolution. The Japanese automaker says it is investing every case individually and that it's using lessons learned from the Tacoma incident to proactively investigate vehicles made with similar production techniques. Thus, owners can choose the temporary fix and keep driving their Camaro or just leave it at the dealer until the new wiring harnesses arrive.

The real question is whether or not this recall will damage the Camaro's reputation and ultimately hurt sales. Every aspect of GM is under the microscope, so what does it say when such an important new product launches with a recall right out of the gate? Thanks for the tip, Mark!

UPDATE: The AP reports that GM has built about 1,400 Camaros equipped with a V8 that are affected by this issue, but only 300 have been sold and are therefore under recall. The rest will be fixed before they're delivered to dealers.

Volkswagen has announced that it will recall some 25,594 examples of its 2006-2009 Jetta over a potential driveshaft issue. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, cars with the company's 2.0-liter inline-four may have driveshaft cover plates that weren't manufactured properly, with the consequence that their screws may not be torqued correctly. If the screws back out, drivers may experience a knocking sound while in motion. In the extreme, the driveshaft could conceivably detach from the gearbox, which could cause all kinds of problems that might lead to a crash.

Owners of 2006-2009 Jettas with the 2.0-liter engine should contact their VW dealer for a free inspection and/or replacement of the screws. Ya es sábado, y eso significa que toca hablar de llamadas a revisión. Hoy son tres los nombres que nos proporcionan el sistema de alertas de la Unión Europa y el Instituto Nacional del Consumo: Nissan Murano, Dacia Logan y Suzuki Grand Vitara.

El SUV de Nissan se ha visto afectado por un defecto mecánico que podría causar un mal funcionamiento del motor, llegando incluso a pararse en pleno funcionamiento. Concretamente, esto es lo que dice el informe: El conducto de entrada de aire del motor, que está conectado al resonador intermedio del sistema de entrada de aire al motor, se puede soltar del resonador. Esto puede provocar un ralentí inestable o una aceleración pobre y en caso extremo, el motor puede pararse en marcha.

La solución consiste en cambiar dicho conducto de aire, para lo cual Nissan ya está informando a consumidores y talleres.

En cuanto al Dacia Logan, se repite exactamente el mismo defecto visto hace dos semanas en el Sandero. El testigo que indica un posible fallo en el sistema de freno podría no iluminarse. Todas las unidades afectadas fueron fabricadas entre el 26 de mayo y el 12 de noviembre de 2008.

Finalmente, en el Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.9 se ha detectado que las camisas de parte del cableado del motor podrían deteriorarse al rozar con el tornillo de la tapa de la correa de distribución, pudiendo causar un cortocircuito y en el peor de los casos, llamas. Los modelos bajo sospecha tienen los siguientes números de identificación: JSAJTD44V00106868 a JSAJTD44V00223811 (5D), y JSAJTA44V00107438 a JSAJTA44V00208921 (3D). Su fecha de producción está comprendida entre junio de 2005 y el 28 de febrero de 2007

Empecemos si te parece por el Tesla Roadster. La estrella de los coches a baterías tendrá que ser revisada debido a un defecto de origen. Los operarios de Lotus, que fabrican el biplaza bajo encargo, no apretaron con la fuerza suficiente los tornillos de los bujes de las ruedas, algo que podría notarse inmediatamente en forma de ruidos y vibraciones. En total, son 345 las unidades a reparar, todas ellas fabricadas antes del 22 de abril de 2009. Este problema también afecta a varias unidades de los Lotus Exige y Elise.

Volviendo a la tierra, Fiat tendrá que ocuparse de cierto asuntillo relacionado con el Scudo. El problema se encuentra en la válvula del servofreno, que podría perder efectividad con el tiempo, endureciendo el pedal e incluso pudiendo ocasionar un accidente. Las unidades 2.0 JTD 16V con chasis 4004001 a 4019385 deberán pasarse por la consulta del médico.

Finalmente, se ha detectado que algunos neumáticos del Hyundai i20 tienen válvulas defectuosas. El resultado, obviamente, sería una fuga de aire. Las unidades con llantas de acero de 15" fabricadas hasta el 31 de marzo de 2009 se encuentran bajo sospecha. Los números de identificación son los siguientes:

Si has estado atento a las revisiones de los últimos días, ya te habrás imaginado que la causa se encuentra en los servofrenos.

El problema concreto, tal y como aparece en la notificación de la red de alertas de la Unión Europea, es que la válvula antirretorno del servofreno se puede quedar atascada durante el calentamiento del motor, resultando en un endurecimiento importante en el pedal y la consiguiente pérdida de frenada.

Los vehículos equipados con el motor 2.0 Duratorq (DW10, diésel) fabricados entre el 1 de noviembre de 2008 y el 12 de marzo de 2009 se encuentran bajo sospecha, por lo que el fabricante se pondrá en contacto con sus propietarios para la correspondiente visita al taller.

Defectiunea consta din desprinderea unui arc din volanta dubla, arc care poate distruge discul de ambreiaj si poate sparge carcasa ambreiajului. Aceasta defectiune se intalneste la A3 produse in intervalul Iunie 2003 si decembrie 2004. Reparatia este normata la cinci ore si este gratuita la toate aceste modele chiar daca automobilele nu mai sunt in garantie. Atentie: rechemarea inseamna inlocuirea volantei si a discului dar in cazul unei defectiuni service-ul va trebui sa inlocuiasca gratuit tote piesele defecte( volanta, disc, carcasa).

stirea nu e ca iti aluneca, ci ca se face recall pentru ca usa se poate deschide in mers si poti pica din masina. Si cred ca am inteles destul de bine articolul smile.gif
